KiwiSimRacing (KSR) is about a group of gamers who enjoy playing online games with others who share a similar interest. This online forum is in itself a community organised and run by its members who come from all walks of life and are not all computer geeks, but Kiwis with an interest in gaming, motor sports and the social interaction that lives within the wide spread community.
Many different types of games are played here from First Person Shooters to Strategy and of course many forms of Motor Sports from the popular V8 Supercars, F1's & similar "tin top" and "open wheel" classes to the home grown and unique NZ Stockcars.
We meet at regular NZ motor sports events such as the Whittakers Classic, A1 NZ GP & NZ SuperStocks Teams Champs and hold our own events called LANs (local area network) where we bring our PC's, wheels & pedals and network together in a hall or similar venue to play games and get to know in person the people we have met in the online community.
KSR is sponsored by InSPire Net who provide servers and bandwidth where our leagues are run from. Drivers will connect to the Inspire servers on the night of their league along with others from around New Zealand and race bumper to bumper and door to door with up to 40 other drivers and points are recorded and added toward a season championship.
