We are running the annual mid-year KSR enduro again using late 1970s / early 1980s Group 5 cars from the Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft mod.The track we will use is LM Le Mans 91-96 version with chicanes.

For more information on each car, and some setup suggestions, there is a useful pdf manual for the mod, follow the link from here: http://www.virtualr.net/drm-revival-mod-1-0-released/. Note that the BMW 320 and Lancia are slower cars, but easier on gas and tyres.
There will be one practice night before the main enduro. This will give new drivers practice and getting use to the these cars.
Schedule is:
1st Oct Practice night run - from 8.30pm. Will do a couple of short races (5 laps) once we have everyone is on
8th Oct Race night.
Event format:
Practice - start around 8pm. Finish around 8:30pm. Grid will be random.
Qual - no qualifying
Warmup - 10 mins
Race - start around 8.40pm. Race length 2 hr.
Note that the chequered flag comes out when the race leader next crosses the line after the 2hr mark. This could mean that you do almost 2 extra laps after the 2 hr mark.
Server race start time is "2pm", race time setting is 10x, so race finish will be "10am".
(Not quite 24hours simulated, but this was done to keep start and finish times reasonable for all)
It is recommended that you test your PC performance for night driving off-line. You can set Le Mans race weekend race start = 1am, then click through sessions to start of race. Then start race and use CRTL-F to check on frame rate. Don't worry if FPS on the grid drops into 20s (we won't be starting the race in the dark), but make sure that it is 30+ when you are racing after T1. If not:
- start turning down various graphics settings from rFactor in-game menu, or
- update plr file - go to rfdirectory/userdata/[YourDriverName]/, then open [YourDriverName].plr file (with Notepad or similar text editor), then search for "Max Headlights" and change from default setting to "2".
Server settings will be:
Fuel usage x 2 (this means pit stops every 20 - 30 mins)
Tyre rate x 2
Damage 60%
Mechanical failures off (avoid risk on engine failures with this mod)
No yellow flags
Aids off (auto clutch available)
Standing start

Points site is open for signups now. Skin choice thread is coming soon. We want a mix of cars and skins, so please don't pick duplicate skins.
Other rules / driver etiquette -
Race rules as per the KSR Race Rule Thread - Race rules. This is an enduro race, so there should be no reason for T1 accidents. You shouldn't be trying to make up more than 1 or 2 spots on the run down to T1. Early race accidents and any protests will be reviewed. Redress policy is in effect.
For fuel, the number of litres entered per stop is how much fuel is you will have at the end of that stop. There is a PLR file setting you can edit to change this if necessary.
