Sulley wrote:Looking at options for cockpit, cant find info on all dimensions, length 150cm cool but what about width, trying to work out if I can fit one in my lounge/dining area...

Also looking at other options, eg Apiga AP1 Professional Driving Simulator Cockpit, but not so sure, cant see any reviews for it, and it seems lots of KSR guys swear by the Obutto, yes??
Length is 150 cm width of the cockpit is 80 cm at its widest point when the keyboard tray is in typing mode, (wrapped acroos the front of you) about 100 cm's in gaming mode (with the keboard tray running alongside the seat) and about 140 cm's when its in fully open get out mode, So you would need about 140 cms of width to be able to swing the keyboard tray to fully open.

After some setbacks, ie the operator...got Buttkicker installed....

V8 Supercars are fun, seat vibrates just with car in idle, feel every gear change and bump and that on lowest setting...in a word WICKED _b _b _b

Mate said it was funny watching me tootle round istanbul with huge grin on face like little kid...

Got sounds on the floor, 2.1 with small sub, just magic when ya crack it a bit...

Cant' say enough about Simparts and Nodnerb..just great...recommend to all _b _b _b _b _b _b

you gotta at least try a cockpit with the vibrations...tested it first with music, Number of the Beast, just the opening sends shivers down ya spine..such a crackup...

Tried with TDU but soundtrack made it seems like the world was ending..cant say I'm impressed by the game much either...

Mmm great excuse for lots of practice for next tuesday nite then..jeez I could fall off every corner and I wouldn't give a toss :D :D :D :D :D

What was the buttkicker worth Sulley?

I have the same race seat and have put the Logitech X-530 sub under the seat with the speaker facing up, fits perfect in the frame. With the other speakers in place really offers some awesome sound. The base sound great as it's all around and not coming from one side, or angle.

Had it all setup at work the weekend before the Quake. One Saturday you're welcome to come and try it out. Just got to figure out how to get it working.
