Obutto oZone gaming cockpits

Post by Nodnerb » Wed Sep 10, 2008 12:19 pm

After getting one of these myself, I have gone ahead and secured the distributorship for NZ/Aus of the Obutto oZone gaming Cockpit
You can check out the Obutto oZone at http://www.obutto.com/home.html" or at my website http://www.simparts.co.nz
They are retailing here in NZ for $550 each plus freight

If you are interested please PM me and I will do a special KSR deal for anyone that is interested in one

Yes, comfy and supportive seat comes with frame. I dropped around to nod's today to take a look, very impressive. Heights of gear lever / wheel / screen / keyboard tray all easily adjustable. Has obviously been designed to fit G25.

ok next silly question .....

i also do alot of fps gaming and obviously surfing the net etc .
will i still be able to do this easily without being obstructed or having to climb in and out of a seat ( ie is it hard to get in and out of etc )

next i use a 32" flat lcd monitor .... will it be strong enough to hold it up and balance it without stressing about it tipping over or bowing etc !

p sorry for all the random bollocks i am really keen just need to be sure ya know :)

It's pretty easy to get in and out of. Simply swing the keyboard try out of the way and step out. I only have one PC and it is witht he seat, so I use it all the time for surfing eetc and it is easy and comfy to do _b :)

The seat is very stable, and I have had a 50" plasma sitting on it :D so it is definetly strong enough, but I think I would want to secure it with a strap or two just to be sure as the screen would be wider than the whole seat and when the laws of physics and booze are bought into play, stuff can happen :D

No problem, I have sent you a PM and will give you a call

I'm interested...... I'm concerned that the gear shift stand might be a bit flimsy. I'm not exactly gentle with my toys and I am no small lad, and I'm wondering if it will bend or wobble when racing? Secondly, I am 6 foot 6 tall and 135kgs- will i fit with my legs fairly stretched? The dude in the video looked short and thin so looked roomy.

I hear ya :)

Ok I reckon, length will be no problem, I race with a tradtional tintop setup, with arms bent at 90 to 100 degrees or so when holding the wheel at 10 to 2. I am just under 6 foot and if I move the seat back from where I sit there is about 300mm of further movement to go back

With the seat right back, the measurement from the base of teh back of the seat to the top of my G25 pedals is 1100mm and I could move the pedals forward about another 200mm, if I needed to, So I would be comfortable saying that you would fit into it and be comfortable lengthways.

Weight wise, I am unsure to be honest, I am 90Kg's and it is not an issue, but then youv'e got a few kilos on me :) However there have been plenty of these sold to the worlds most obese society, so I would imagine that it should not be an issue. I have sent an email off to the American distributor to see if he has any experience and feedback from similar sized customers.

I will PM you the outcome

Just as a side note fellas, 8 have been pre ordered already. I will update the first post to reflect this.

Must be something in the air - I am also going to have some seats for sale shortly. (Sorry to hi-jack the thread :) )
I have got some of these arriving in about a month, supercheap price for kiwisim members.
