The problem is Heat is a 16bit Game, Which can be ran on 32bit operating systems, just like 32bit games can be run on 64bit operating systems. But unfortunately 16bit games do not run on 16bit operating systems that I know about. I'm sure there would be a loop hole somewhere though.

If you want to get a kick arse computer that runs rfactor and all the latest games then go ahead and do it, but if you still wana play heat keep your current computer as well.

We've got two late model PC's - quad core & i7, DDR3 etc but we deliberately chose to use Windows 7 32-bit as it runs a much wider range of applications including Heat. Have been up and running for several weeks with no probs (touch wood).
If your motherboard can run a 64-bit OS it should also be able to run a 32-bit version. :) :) :) :hit:

I had 32bit.and changed to 64bit. because thats the future.lol. but its ok. i have found a way to run Heat on 64bit. Little bit of work but well worth it. And end of the day 64bit is better for me as i run more the 4 Gb of Memory. and R Factor. :D

Yea i have Professional.(Ultimate is over rated.) But i downloaded a Xp Mode app and Virtual Pc app. With these two programs you can select each App/Program that 64bit O/S wont allow you to Run. (They a both from Microsoft them self's.)

Set up the XP mode and Virtual PC but it doesn't seem to recognise the graphics card for some reason.

Have you got right driver for your graphics card? In some casers with windows 7 it comes with a Microsoft driver for graphics card. You need the driver from the Makers.so it registers.and lastest one on top of that.

i run 64 vista and there is two sets of program files . one is 64bit and one is 32 bit(x86). as i understand it when i load a program, it loads to the 64 bit program files and they wont run .if you then copy those files to the program file x86 they work in the 32bit section . dont know much about pc's but that is what i was told an it seems to work  if you click 'start' then 'computer' then 'c drive' that should bring up the two program files im looking at. dont know if the explaination is right but the outcome was right with heat and battlefield series i play
