NOTE: Carnage is expected... please sign the waiver below.
Flights and accommodation will be provided and all entries will receive generous Indy Point compensation. No entry fee is required although you must be registered in the 2010 Individual League | Registration | Rules | Results thread. Racing will begin at around 7.00pm and drivers will need to be on teamspeak before their racing is due to start.
Format
The event will be run with drivers competing for 20 spots in a grand final. Each group will race two 13 lap heats and a 25 lap heat. Points earned from the 3 heats will determine the final 20. The final will be held over two 25 lap heats. 2010 Indy rules will apply with the following exceptions;
- A black flag rule will be in action. This means that if you are told by track officials to leave the track you must do so immediately. A driver would be black-flagged if his car was on fire or unable to circulate due to excessive damage.
- Any driver shortening laps by using the infield will be penalised.
- Any driver attacking another car from the infield or attacking another car in the infield will be penalised.
- If a car is placed fully on the outer track by any means, it will be deemed to have been hotdogged. It must come to a complete stop as soon as possible and will take no further part in the race. Any driver driving around the outer track will be penalised.
Points
Points will be awarded in accordance with 2010 Indy rules with the following exceptions
BREAKING NEWS
Carnage at Coventry organisers have just announced the following bonus prizes for tonights racing:
- A Stirrer of the Race award for qualifying rounds only. The stirrer of the race will win an additional 50 points.
- Stirrer of The Night - Tonight there will be a stirrer of the night competition during the final rounds only. Gold, Silver and Bronze Spoons will be awarded to the best stirrers in the final rounds;
- Gold Spoon = 200 points
- Silver Spoon = 100 points
- Bronze Spoon = 50 points
- Hotdog King - The person to get the most hotdogs overall will win an additional 200 indy points. If there is more than one driver with an equal amount of hotdogs, the 200 points will be shared among them.
- No points will be subtracted for being lapped by the winner of a race.
- No points will be subtracted for DNFs.
