Still a bit iffy on whether or not I get it. I find it a little bit blah after CoD4 as the guns are old and crap haha.

I might get it eventually, but it wont be straight away.

Too many other games to spend my money and time on :)

Left 4 Dead, and GTAIV will both be bought before cod5 :D

I think the best thing to do is wait. There are a lot of things people are knit picking in it (beta). Just wait to see if they fix it.
From what I have heard there is already a patch released on the first day...

Im still trying to install the damn beta (double click it and nothing happens, just loads up my CPU and can't really do anything, left it for a while still no go)

Ill be upgrading my RAM and then getting Far Cry 2 and Red Alert 3 before I get this .

After playing the beta, I'm not actually tempted to want to purchase it.

I played this at my mates place and IMHO I actually prefer CoD4 over this.

Well Ive got it working, and after playing it a bit, it just feels to much as an expansion pack to COD4 rather than a seperate game. I might grab it from the bargain bin one day

Yes as a game to play on public servers it might not be the best but, for competitive and modding etc it is far better than cod4, in which infinity ward restricted a lot of what you can do in mods etc, they ended up deleting there modding section under cod4 on their forum...
World at War from what I have been told you could quite easily recreate cod4 as a mod, but it would be very difficult to swap it back the other way. This game has a promising look at competitive level if they sort it out, if not the mod used for competitive play will soon sort it out just as it did in cod4.

So we can look forward to a paintball MOD that keeps me interested for more than 1 week? I may look to buy a few months after release in that case, after the price has dropped a bit. :>

In fairness, no critic or even the game designers claimed CoD5 will be better than CoD4. CoD4 was a massive unexpected achievement that surprised everyone after CoD3 was such crap and CoD2 had run its course. I would be more inclined to compare (if you must) CoD5 (when released) to FarCry2, BIAHH, and any other FPS game released in the last 6 months that has MP gameplay.

No demo is ever a finished product. Hopefully some of the problems will be addressed and fixed upon release or a patch put out same time. Agreed though, i'd be inclined to wait 2 weeks after released to see if the game is as good everyone hopes it will be.

Alas a 4850 is all my budget can stretch to this month - spending all my other monies on more shooting gear :D Plus it's just for gaming, I'm not playing HD stuff through it.

Ahh game demos, I remember the giddy days of a game demo on some new thing called Battlefield 1942, it was simply awesome. But looking forward to playing CoD5 soon once this pesky election is over.

I heard it has the same game/run engine or whatever it's called as CoD4.

I thought you had preordered it?

It runs about 10-15FPS lower than what COD4 does on the same settings, so if your get 70+ FPS on COD4 you'll be sweet.

Why would you buy a game that your computer can't run? O_o

Ive already purchased Far Cry 2 as I got it at preorder special for $70, but I need to upgrade my PC (more RAM) before I can play it.

I guess thats one example of when I would buy a game that my PC cant run.
