Here are some screenshots of the maps, ones not in the beta.
There are a lot of pictures so realise that before you click the link.

http://www.cybergamer.com.au/forums/thread/6423/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Heres an example of one. Map is Downfall.

yeah, anybody play CoD United Offensive? I did and this is one of the maps, but only binged out. Should prove to be interesting and not such a snipers heaven.

Great thread there _b but yes, a ton of pix embedded in that page.

A few of the building scenes reminded me of Medal Of Honour.

New video card for me next week for sure now.

Just too many other games around at the moment I guess.

Personally I'm over WWII games as well..

If it is good and plenty of others are playing it, I might pick it up eventually.

Because this really isn't a what Shane buys thread... :larf:

Atm, I've got Bold's view on the game: may pick it up later (once the price drops) while interest is still high but until then, there is other games out there to play.

patch 1.1 is out... lots of improvements over what people were concerned over....

Lots of camping Hawkins? Ya, like that isn't part of every other FPS game out there, especially SD in CoD4  I'm sure there will be bunny hoppers, spam artists, CS l33t skillz twats, exploitists, and just for pc gamers; a few haxors will be on public servers looking for us to piss off o_O The bottom line is, will it amuse you for more than a month....

CoD4 is ALL of the above, but its a lot of fun when you play with or against people you know - just like rFactor.

Pretty good Bull. Except for a few glitches here and there. Like having to Alt Tab before being able to select which side your on. Graphics are good and game play is good. Comes down to if you like old school weapons or not. Can't say much about coop as I have not yet had a go but it sounds like it is just the sp mode but harder.

We have had about 8 guys running around over the last few nights.
Its quite disturbing hearing barking coming from somewhere in the distance as some one has just released the hounds. Oh and watch out for bouncing betty shes a real hand full.

What about the single player? Is it good? Long? Short?

Hows the Co-op for the campaign too?

SP is longish...took me just over 10 hours on hard to do it.

Haven't tried co-op yet but my understanding is the boys over at Simcentral had difficulties connecting up.

What I read at SC regarding Co-op is that it is basically going through the sp game "level" by "level" and you can pick and choose which parts you do. They also by the sound of it are identical to the sp missions, etc the team is real ppl. And they are having to reconnect after each mission (thats my interpretation of several very long posts).

I think I will save the money and play Crysis wars if I need a MP FPS fix. Silky smooth, hassle free and a lot of fun. Cod4 has icky enough frame rates, I hate to think what 5 will be like, plus I dont see the point in paying $100 for essentially the same game - in a different era.

Dont be put off by this though, its your money, this is just me :)
