Judging by most peoples early posts I don't think many KSR guys are getting COD5.

if you can run CoD4 you can run CoD5 and get same frame rates. Is it worth $100 of your hard earned bucks??? not sure, check out IGN, Gamespot or GAmespy reviews.. I see just as many Kiwi and OZ servers as CoD4 with lots of peeps playing. If that will last is unknown but I can't see it dieing out anytime soon. However, don't buy this game for the SP aspect. Its shines mostly in MP.

Have to disagree sorry for me COD5 is running at about a third of what I can get on COD4 although I know heaps of settings to get the fps up in cod4 without getting crap detail. I will see what I can get out of COD5 but I cant see many commands from cod4 that are in cod5 (fps commands).

But even with the lower frame rate the game is still just as playable as cod4. On the back of the case it says that this game is enhanced for multi core, that may be my problem :(.

that's interesting Aaron. Can you keep us informed of your progress on what works and or doesn't work for you?

I am not really interested in Co-op although the zombie thing sounds like a bit of fun one night. The single player is average, and even if it was great you only really play it once anyways.. How did you find the MP or is the crap FPS put you off?

I'm running an AMD x2 XF 6400+ windsor duel core with 8800gtx ultra (700+megs) so i am averaging about anywhere between 60 - 90fps with everything maxed.

Haven't played much MP I'm only lvl 6.

One command I found better be picked up by servers/pb and cheat protected quick, as it isnt at the moment. I cant see why you would put a simple command into a game that pretty much gets rid of all objects such as buildings trees etc, its like a bloody hack... You cant play with it though as I kept walking into stuff thats in the game but I couldn't see it haha.

It is hard to see what settings help as the cg_drawfps 1 doesn't work... have to use xfire or fraps to see and they aren't as accurate.

gained only about 10-15fps idle with small settings that dont effect how the game looks eg I havent changed textures. (to an extent).

Heres a rough outline of where my fps are.

Highest Quality (1280x1024)
Highest.jpg
Lowest Quality(800x600)
Lowest.jpg

COD4 config and COD5 settings tweaked(1280x1024)
myCOD4config+prefs.jpg

I think I might just use a low resolution with high detail.

Hmmmmm .... I see your point...it does look very grayed out with your adjustment. can you measure your cpu + ram usage with settings on default but res set higher? At least enemy will stand out better on low res than high res, might make you a better player :p ;)

do you know if the CoD4 widescreen fix is the same for CoD5?

is it better to run the comp as high pixels like what shane has??
or can you just run it on 1024 by 768 pixels or 1280 by 1024 pixels which is better?

This is what i run my computer on now....
Image

Or should i run it on this with the screen resolution on max.....
Image

whis is better...... to run COD4 and 5?
And what do i realy need to upgrade..... more RAm for example?? if so can you give me a average cost to buy more.

If your PC currently runs COD4, then in theory it should run COD5. You may have to tweak your graphic settings a bit to reflect that of COD4. COD5 use's the same game engine as COD4.
