Call to arms!

Post by Sasquatch » Thu Apr 16, 2009 5:14 pm

SCu have smacked us in the face and dropped the gauntlet... Next Monday 27/4/09 2100 hoursis first round. I am hoping some KSC boys will be able to be present...Ya that means, sidewinder, bull, Bazzil, Bull, Johnny2combs, Jetboy, Aaza, to name a few...I will be representing KSC (as soon as i change my tag)

I'm keen to have a regular Monday night FPS :machinegun:

Hey Sas how bout this.

Why don't we have a best of three match comp over three weeks starting Monday.
This week I will choose the settings, next week you choose and then for the decider we agree on the settings (probably will be the same anyway).

I thought CTF
FF set to reflect
No Hardcore (I still think this is for people that can't shoot straight)
3 flag captures and then you change sides. So one team will play a side twice and the other side once.(better make sure this works, will need to grab you for some testing).
Round length 15mins.
Soooooooo sound off people...show your support (only if it doesn't impede with RL or racing)

KSC CoD5 raping of SCu

This will have to wait a week Sas until Riven has some free time to upload the cfg file.

Boony - I'm sure we can sort out a config file and send it on. How much different could it possibly be from CoD4s? Eitherway, I don't mind waiting :)

Sorting out the config is not the problem, the problem is as Riven has said, he will not have the spare time to load it this week.

I'm keen, add my name.

I reckon instead of CTF we should do WAR, it's still capturing flags but there are 5 points and each team try to capture the same point, you win by pushing the other team back to their last point and capturing that.

I would vote for Hardcord mode, much more realistic, but then if more people want to play normal mode I don't mind (but we should perhaps have a vote on it)

Id prefer CTF because with that you have to attack as well as defend, takes a bit more teamwork, with War all you need is a couple of people on the flag and the rest of them killing anyone who comes close :P

Hardcore mode is crap. One shot to the leg with a 9mm and you die, how realistic is that o_O

This may sound absolutely stupid but did the 1.4 patch I just downloaded include the new maps in the thread below (this is what happens when you dont actually play the game often :larf: )
