Considering the price difference's around the world this might be worth a read if your picking it up off steam

Can You Run It? says that my i5-430M doesn't meet the requirements.

Ah crap, mines a 2.26Ghz (with 3M cache), the E6600 is a 2.40Ghz (with 4M cache).

So does this mean I need to cancel my pre-order? :(

I'm sure since it's the same game engine that you could play if you could play MW2. An i5 should be sufficient enough surely. Guess you'll find out soon enough _b .

That's what you'd think would be the case.

Did a bit of research and people have said that people with the same processor but different graphics cards will run the game but then highlighting the graphics card may be a bit low and also found out that the Can You Run It? website doesn't accurately rate the processor how it should.

So I think I'll be fine, as I've got the Turbo Boost technology that will push the processor up to 2.53GHz which should see the game run.

And Harding, I never bought MW2 so I can't judge on that - just BC2 that runs smoothly on high (once I turn down shadows).

BC2 is far more CPU Intensive then MW2 was so if ya can run BC2 you will be fine.

What the canyourunit site doesn't take into account is all your BUS Speeds etc as well, it only rates your Processor MHz/GHz speed. It rates my Dual Core E8500 Higher then a lot of I5/later quad cpu's because mine is 3.2 whereas a lot of quads etc are only around 2.6 where in reality a Quad I5/I7 should be superior.

I only have a E4500 processor (2.2ghz) dual core and ive been told i can run it it might just load a lil slower but all my other pc specs pass according to canyourunit.com

BC2 only needed a Intel 2 Duo at 2.0GHz or higher which is hardly CPU intensive.

And how you pass 2LO...

You try playing BC2 on a 2.0ghz dual core and get back to me.

The Frostbite engine is far more CPU Intensive then a lot of other games out there. If you were like me and happened to upgrade CPU during playing BC2 you would notice a much larger jump in FPS then when I upgraded my gfx card ... I gained only around 10fps when I did the gfx card, but more then doubled when I did the CPU. I was on a 2.4ghz dual core then as well and went to the 3.2 I have now.

Direct2Drive have it available now for US$45 if you use the promo code 'bigsavings', just bought it from there and by my understanding you can either download the content from there and get Key on release or just wait for the key and then activate and install via steam

My copy arrived this morning and I am currently showing huge self control by resisting the urge to install and play it today before my final exam tomorrow morning.

I got my copy at midnight with DK. After waiting until 12:02 in the line (cant believe it, I was waiting in a line in Gisborne and it wasn't at the bottle store) I inserted the install disk into my computer at 12:09 (thanks to some awesome driving by DK on the way home) and was starting up the game at 12:20ish. I got online and there was no one on!!!

Joined a game and waited and the next people that came in confirmed that I was the first person to get online in Black Ops because no other server had people in it! (6000 odd servers too). While we waited for enough people to join the game before it started there was this cool pre-match game. Where you can just roam around and kill each other, but everything is in Black and white. Cool little feature. Then the game started and I got the first kill online ;).

I must say I've got a bit of an aged graphics card. But this looks great! _b

Well I pre-ordered it and don't play WOW plus I don't play on console with the controller aimbot so he doesn't have much to go on about. :)

Agree with Aaron, I don't know if it's a Steam thing or with the game but it's been hella laggy in every server I've been in
