Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Post by KSR Aaza » Sun Feb 27, 2011 1:25 pm

PC Gamer wrote:A new website called Find Makarov has appeared, containing a great big clock counting down to the middle of next week, right in the middle of GDC. On loading the sight, you’ll see a flash of Makarov, the villain of Modern Warfare 2. It seems likely that this must be the countdown to the reveal of Modern Warfare 3.

It’s rumoured that the game is being developed by three studios, Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer and Raven. We’ll get to know more when the game’s finally revealed. Stay tuned, we’ll be bringing you the very latest from GDC all next week.

Here's that site:

So we're gonna see another rushed game full of bugs and performance issues. They should just give up already or at least go to a two year cycle and add some DLC in the second year to keep the player numbers up.

HOPEFULLY they have dedicated servers and a console and mod tools so people don't NEED to hack it just to add there own content.

So the gimmicky title is 'MW3 - America Under Siege'.

"Battles rage across New York Harbor in the official Modern Warfare 3 America Teaser Trailer."

Here's a link to a bunch of info about the story, characters and some map names:
http://www.justpushstart.com/2011/05/13 ... o-blowout/

But, if they go for this pay to play/subscription BS, I won't be bothering with this.

I think there are a lot of games in the FPS Genre nowadays that equal and surpass Call Of Duty.

Yep, old engine combined with squeezing as much money out of customers for as little new content possible is what CoD has become and they haven't moved very far since CoD4.

The video shows no gameplay? How is it even a teaser? We already know about the bloody game, what I know after watching the video is nothing more than before I watched it! Not a teaser by any means.

+1

Battlefield 3 is going to absolutely destroy CoD.

I'll probably get both MW3 and BF3... Realistically it doesn't matter which one is better, most will get both..... Either when first released or in the bargain bin. Both games are will be written for console so more of the same stuff but with new perks like 'over the shoulder shooting' or some hi tech gee whiz crap.

Will be getting RO2 on the day it is released. The game is written for pc and i am hoping it shows.

BF3 is written for PC Sas. Unless Consoles have dedicated servers and 64 player support and a Dev Console now?

as long as a few features are added bf3 will decimate all. IMO just needs comm system, commander and a couple other technical features and then there is jets :D

 that is all haha. 64 player is insane yet so enjoyable when playing as squads.
However thats where I mean having a commander in bf is a key point as this role is so important that I cannot stress enough.

lot of :machinegun: in that vid above.

I suspect this will actually be a decent game from what i have seen. BF3 will defensively be something to look forward too IF it is as good as promised/anticipated.

I still play CODBO and there are still over 50 servers in Australasia to choose from. :>
