Appears to be a converted single seater, but i really dont know.

The car to the right *might* be a f5000 begg perhaps?

Not sure whats under the covers, screen makes it look like a cobra, but the nose doesnt look right.

Tried a bit of googling?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graham_McRae" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

He was big into F5000 and built a few of his own cars, which is right up Famins alley..

Going by that front wing, I'm going to say the orange one is a Mclaren M22 ;)

I haven't found any pics yet, but I'm going to guess the pink one is a McRae GM9

Is that the same one that was at the Speedshow last year? That one was gun metal grey and was bit more fetching than the pink one there ;p Can't recall who owns it though, but they had a board all about it. Seem to remember it came from the states and thought it must be owned over there

The other car is a McRae GM9 sports car, recently purchased by Runciman racer, Roger Williams. The GM9 started life as a GM3 F5000 single seater race car, built and raced by Graham McRae in 1976. It was then converted to a centre seat Can-Am car. Then in 1978 McRae converted it back to its F5000 specification and shipped it to Australia, McRae winning the 1978 Australian Grand Prix in the car. The car was then shipped to New Zealand and re-formatted as a full ground effects centre-seat Can-Am car and sent back to the ‘States as GM9 where it competed for the next three years.

you got it Bold...

The GM9 is actually built using the GM3 F5000 open wheeler car as a basis..

but Roger Williamson doesnt own it anymore. Its half an hour from Palmerston North in a tin shed along with a mind boggling collection of other F5000's.
I visited the owner yesterday and had a 2 hour personal tour. Un Be Lievable!!!

The owner is quite open to small parties doing tours so if anyone wants to go see PM me and ill give you his name etc...

(I dont think he wants it too widely known etc etc..)
