Bathurst GTR V8 race tonight!

Post by famin » Tue Nov 29, 2005 2:34 pm

dont forget...

8:30pm start

You should update your GTR to V 1.5 also!!

(I hope theres no probs with that, Ill test as soon as I get home)

I suggest all drivers get familiar with T3 into the cutting and TAKE IT EASY there on lap 1.

Also, over skyline the track is modelled with lots of bumps. Again, practice that to cope with it on a full fuel load and cold tyres!!!

There is also a NASTY bump just before the dipper that tends to throw the car to the right. watch out for it. I suggest 2 nd gear thru there to keep it stable!!

No pit stop and 25mins racing.

Happy's call of a fast time is correct (about the 2:08s) but anything under 2:12s should be good if you can stay on the track.

See you all on track!

As a GTR rookie, all I did was max out the roll bar settings and up the gearing one click in 4th, 5th and 6th.

Currently the fastest I've had is 2.14" - ergo, I suck :D

My Falcon setup is in the sticky GTR thread at the top of the forum.

Thats for Oran Park but change the gearing for Bathurst and it should be OK.

Apologies on my poor showing. Last week I was fighting endless pedal problems - now all sorted. And this week I was off seeing a movie - Tuesday being cheap night.

Wow that was fun.

Sorry lots of people had trouble.

I just installed the 1.05 patch and went racing - no problems logging in or anything.

Oh Well.

I really really hope they do the V8s for rFactor with the right car models. It's such good racing. Car parity rocks.

Just a thought for your points famin, Shouldn't bathurst be half points for each race?.

If I turn up to Oran Park, but miss bathurst, I've been penalised double points than someone who misses Oran Park but turns up to Bathurst o_O.

Naw, just keep it simple and give Happy a 1000 points right away, for all that the points really matter that much :D
