Pukekohe racetrack setup

Post by BK » Thu May 26, 2011 9:02 am

Just trying to get setup for the BMW M3 and wondering what sort of times are competitive?

Also how good are the base setups for this track? In Spa I found I got more under steer as the race went on.

Any help would be appreciated :)

I've got a setup for each car from one of the guys who race at Race Department (The people who did the mod) I can jump on tonight and flick it to you if you want?

It will need tweaking to suit Pukekohe, but is a good base to start with.

I wouldn't call this a competitive time, but I'm stuck around the 1m02s mark, but I suspect the more talented ones will be around the 56s mark as a guess ;)....going to get swamped down the back straight, if only the chicanes at the start of the lap was a little wider the little M3 might have 1/2 a chance of making up some of the lost ground from those long straights

I would be surprised if anyone can do a 58. I am struggling to break the one minute mark. Sierra doesn't like coming out of turn 4 (onto the back straight) which is the most crucial corner on the track.

Had a run last night on the track. Gordon and Riftcreator joined in as well.

Thanks for the base setup Riftcreator. This felt more stable than the one I have been using. _b

I managed to get in the mid 62's with the others doing 61's and 60's. Will have to work on driving style to get the times down as two wheels in T3 isn't very good!

I agree. I found if you were too fast into T1 & T2 then you had problems getting a fast line out of T4. When this was done well I did a good time.

Sure, happy to.

Best to do it in game though, for some odd reason when I've sent them in a pm they load as default o_O

I can jump on anytime in the evenings and flick it to you, just let me know when.

I have been in the 61's consistently can crack the 60's occassionally. M3 really suffers down the back straight so its important to get the turn in right to carry as much speed as possible through the corners.

Should be a fun night aslong as I get past the first 2 corners ;p
