KiwiSimRacing - Teamspeak 3 Server

KiwiSimRacing now have a Teamspeak 3 server up and running.

Thanks to Inspire.Net for their hosting of the server and Riven for installing and getting it up and running.




In order to get registered for the KSR TS3 server you need to first download the TS3 Client and log into the server.

TS3 Download Link: http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads

Once you've installed TS3, log into the server and send me a PM here on the forum with your "Unique ID" which you can find by clicking on your name and looking at the right hand side of TS3, it will be a bunch of numbers and letters. (Unless I'm on, then msg me and I can register you right away)

I will then register you when I get a chance.

When I tried connecting yesterday, it said that the server requires the latest version. I was prompted to update and did so, then was able to connect without issue. I was just on it earlier today as well.

Dunno why it would suddenly start requiring the latest version, unless it was snuck into a server update?

ok.. I connected via 203.114.130.60:9998 used the server list function and searched kiwi.

For some reason we've had an issue with Teamspeak, don't forget to check your Teamspeak connects, if not change the IP to 203.114.130.60:9998.

You dont need a port.
ts.ksr.net.nz or teamspeak.ksr.net.nz will work.

Shortly (60mins form now)
ts.kiwisimracing.net.nz or teamspeak.kiwisimracing.net.nz will work.

Due to the addition on a DNS SRV record a port number is not required.

Do NOT use the IP, as unlike a DNS name it can change, same with the port.

I re entered the ts.ksr.net.nz and it worked again.

using version 3.0.12.x.

Don't want to change to 13 as it hasn't any DirectInput and stuffs up my PTT setup.

The only way I can connect is using the IP 203.114.130.60:9998.

The issue is the same for all the addys you provided Riven, and on both computers here.

Try nslookup and specify inspires DNS 203.114.168.2, if that works it's either your router dnd cache or your ISP.

Going to be a bit of an issue with that Riven. Can't connect to any TS servers now

Found a Thompson Router at home I had half inched from work ages ago. Plugged that in and all is back to normal

Teamspeak in their wisdom have removed my 'Not for profit' license, hence the outage today.

The boss didnt want to purchase one, so I personally did.
USD$100/year (5 virtual servers 128 slots total)

Right now after editing the slots, all 5 servers are in use along with the available slots.

KSR now has a 32 slot limit and will remain free unless you wish to have more slots.
