Skin Pack: - Massive thanks to Hugh and Sulley for doing the skin pack. _b
Custom skins will be used for this league.

Here is the car skin templates. There are the 5 cars and side door number inside. You only have to paint the car skin and save as a .dds file. We will do the rest with the .veh files.

In the league there will only be the 5 cars to choose from. Within these cars will be the skins for each driver. Name your finished skin the same as what you use in the points site please.

NZrFL21 TEMPLATES DOWNLOAD

Requirements for each skins:
In the skin pack there is a template for the numbers on the side doors. Please use this. There is no numbers or names on the windows. If you wish to use / design period related door numbers (the big round versions) then this will be accepted as well. (These must have the KSR logo on the top and NZrFL21 on the bottom)

- At least 2 Inspire logo's in visible spots
- At least 1 visable Kiwisimracing logo
- Your name on the rear of the car

For those that are not able to do skins, Sulley has offered his services. PM him with the following details:
- Car you are using (Make / model only i.e. BMW 2800cs or BMW 2002tii etc)
- Your 3 digit race number (not starting with 0)
- You name on the points site

You will also need to post in the skin thread your choice as well. Skins need to be in by the 15th August

Please email skins to: KSRSkins@hotmail.co.nz (only if you are not doing them through Sulley)

NOTE: No late skins or reserves will be accepted, you have plenty of time so do it now!

If you need help with skinning please post in the skins thread.

Skinpack download links:

Cheers, Old and current teamie's still working out what to drive... choices

Me I'm gonna be slow so may as well have a challenge...taming the beast(in V1.9 that is).. outta the box the backend has a mind of its own, and the frontend needs a seeing eye dog, to find an apex, no wait that's just me haha

Not sure yet if the patch has taken the edge off the beast or not, installed but not tried patch yet...

Ok that's cool. Is there any different options we can select in the GEN String as far as wheel options etc go?

No, we are not mucking about with veh files, all skins for a model, will be based off a single exiting car, you will then select your skin from those listed, under the specified car.

The instructions ARE included in the template pack.

Just saying, cause some of the cars do have different wheels. So in other words you want us to just base our skin off that car with the wheels we want which is basically just using a different VEH with the GENstring we want as a base anyway.

No, all cars of a particular model will be based on ONE car only, as per the instructions incl with the body templates eg: For the Alfa:
Use the provided Alfa_bodystyle1_KSR template to paint your car body. Save as a dds file using DXT1 resolution, using your driver name. eg: sulley.dds

You don't need to make a window as this will be provided for you.

The vehicle is based on the bodystyle1 for the Alfa. The car this is based on ingame is #26.

To view your skin ingame, create a skins folder inside the #26 car folder, and place your skin file there. In game when you select car #26, you then have another skin to choose from.

When submitting your skin, you need only supply the dds file for your carbody, all other necessary details will be supplied in the completed skinpack.

Sulley
July-2012

So ALL ALfa's will be available under car #26, Each template comes with an instructions sheet which tells you which car it is based on.

This simplification of templates will reduce problems, scale and errors with the skinpack

That's cool. So long as everyone has to follow that and certain people don't get to use custom/different wheels/windows etc cause of their position in the community :)

I haven't looked at the template pack as Hugh is doing my skin (cheers sock! :D) but I assume it's been mentioned in the readme/instructions which car will be used as the base?? So everyone knows what wheels and body style thier car will be running.

Have a look, all should be explained.

Edit: Beaten by Sulley!! (:

is that the Porsche the skins are to be based on? With the mis-matched wheels?

Err I dont recall that before patch, no matter we can base model on car 25, for matching wheels, dont think it matters much

Looking at getting back into it and I have started doing up a team of historic Porsches. If there is anyone keen on using one of them and forming a team, post here or flick me a PM.
