Tomorrow AC gets multiplayer in it's next release. I have found it quite nice to drive in, RF2 hasn't really done it for me so this is looking like the new RF2 to me.

I was surprised running rf1 on the KSR server that it still looks pretty reasonable with some well made tracks. The feeling of RF2 and AC is a fair bit better though.

Unfortunately I can't race tuesdays, at least not consistently but I was having fun on TS with some of you guys doing a bit of practice.

How many of you guys have AC? maybe it's the replacement for rf1 for all the leagues still using it. Hope the nodders start producing things for it soon..

Yes really like AC, runs very well, and unlike rFactor will recognise my wheel

Brought it when they had the special on. Runs really well for me, great graphics. Would like to see what it is like against other human drivers.

Looking forward to multiplayer

Based on the performance of rF2, and the shocking development, I'd say AC is the best option for a replacement rF1.

ISI have dropped the ball with rF2, and if I could I'd get a refund I would. What I'm shocked with is rF2 hasn't started off where rF1 left off, it was a backwards step, or 50. ISI should have released a beta version that was as good (at minimum) compared to the best rF1 mods avaliable and moved forward from there.

Even the graphics hog pCars runs better than rF2 on my system :I

Multiplayer has just been released, seems pretty good if the pings are below 150ish.
Not a fan of the booking system though.

Have setup a server Kiwi Racing if you guys are keen for a few laps.
Hosted 8 people including me on the same machine and went ok on 1Mb upload.
I'm sure it could do 15+.

Quoting a friend of mine and his take on AC multi.
1. Penalty slowdown.
The most idiotic thing to have on a dedicated. People cut, autoslowdown and you smack right in the back of them cause you did not expect the car to stand on the emergency brake in the middle of a turn. STUPID

2. Netcode.
OK? Hell no. Ping over 90 and people are ALL over the place. Only place the warp is ok is on the straights. In turns people wobble all over.

3.Open servers.
My own damn fault for going on Pubs. Wreckers are terrible. Have the "next gen" sim racers brought even more arses?

4.Meh??!?!
I am happy it is released, I am happy we can host our own racers. MAAAAAN I am happy we can host our own.
At least ISI know how to make some semi-useful netcode.

I assume it'll only get better, I haven't bought it, and likely wont for the foreseeable future.

Just hosted 14 players (70kB/s) on same machine, pings from 80-400 and went ok apart from first corner carnage.
My advice keep away from 200+ pings.

Penalty system can be set to off, but when its on it allows 2 wheels off the track, any more instant slowdown.
Not a problem if you are aware of it, and it stops cheating, good IMHO.

Can we organize something just for fun? I'd like to try it online.

Got a car or class of car in mind? I have mostly been using gt3 cars but happy to try some others.
