FFB issues at low speeds

Post by ArcticBlue » Thu Feb 18, 2016 9:18 pm

In rFactor when I have the car stationary I am getting a lot of ffb that is turning the wheel left then right. I don't think I described that very well. Anyway I'd like to get rid of it but haven't worked out what I need to change or even what I need to search for to find out what to change.

Basically I want to cut out the FFB at very low speeds (of fix it). The FFB feels fine once I get above about 30km/h.

Any suggestions?

Using realfeel?

If so, disable plugins and try, my key for that is "G"

DO you mean it shakes at low speeds?

If so you can try lowering your self centering effect/strength in your game controllers/profiler or you can try lessening your FFB strength.

Logitech Momo red.
Yes have real feel. If I hit G and disable it the shaking goes away. I'm not a fan of the default ffb though.

In the logitech profiler self centering is set to 0. Increasing it doesn't make any difference either. Reducing the strength does reduce the force of it but it's still there.

I guess I'll ignore it for now.

Just need to tweak the default FFB :) I've found it far better and closer to the real thing (well what I've raced at least) then either Realfeel or Leo's FFB provides.

And what the hell are you doing driving at less then 30km/h anyway?

There is however a line in the Realfeel config about "minimum speed", I haven't played with it but I would assume that would be a minimum speed before FFB is enabled. You could set that to 30km/h or whatever suits to bypass the problem

Only get the issue going through pits and waiting for race start which is why I've been ignoring it.
