How the hell do you start the download? I can't find anywhere where I need to download and install?

Ultimate Version has VIP Access starting from the 23rd - essentially gets the game 5 days earlier. Unfortunately all the additional carpacks that come with the Ultimate version are only available on XB1 according to the MS Store so you're really just paying $50 to play the game 5 days earlier

I wont be on until the normal version is released :)

Quick question though, mainly for Rogue who has played it. Would you recommend a wheel, keyboard or a gamepad controller for the game?

Yup Ultimate Version has been available to play since the 23rd :) Hence how Rogue etc has been playing it already, and a couple of my mates have been as well.

I was interested, so went to watch a video on YouTube. Lots of complaining. Then I googled "forza horizon 3 stuttering".

I think I'll wait a while :-)

Bloody Microsoft!
I have paid for a game I cannot play
I cannot find where to download to play (Some help from Riven and Rouge but no go).
Found I had to update Win10 to the Anniversary Addition.
Did that and now I have to type in a password everytime I start the PC (Sorted that)
Now I have no sound? (Sorted that)
And still nowhere to download the bloody game!

Edit...restarted again and now found it in my Library...that is not clear to find...
Steam is sooo much more user friendly.
Now downloading.

Yeah it does say in system requirements you need the Anniversary Edition - apparently the Windows Store doesn't even work without it!

It does also add in wheel support etc too so it is a bonus

Released for general play now.

Whos up for some gaming tonight?

Gamertag: RivenNZ1

You have to play the solo campaign until it tells you the online has unlocked.

There is also something about unlocking the 'Outback' festival and upgrading it to level 2 before 'Clubs' menu is available.

Those that will be playing on an XB1 will need a Live Gold membership for multiplayer.

My Torana A9X is awesome :)

Anything done in Co-Op will translate to Solo.

You can also make the online freeroam world invite/friends only

The random other players (including friends) you see about are AI to make it seem populated like TheCrew/TDU2 etc even in Solo mode.

I havent yet testing online mode myself. As I have a hardware firewall device, I might need to do some allowing of various ports etc. I dont think this will be a problem for the majority of users unless you have native IPv6 which can cause issues with the live.com connections.

I wil have to see what time it finishes downloading to my PC but its going on my Xbox.

you do need to do a couple of hours of offline before you can do the online stuff. you have to unlock ether outback level 2 or Surfers Paradise level 2 first.

Hot tip: Buy it from the Microsoft US store for USD 60 (approx NZD 85) rather than the NZ store at NZD 110.

I paid via PayPal. My address is my real NZ address, in 'Beverley Hills, 90210, CA, USA'. Not sure if that matters or not.

Figured out my why the Clubs and Auction tabs were greyed out.
Turns out you need working IPv6. This is done with Teredo for most as only a very few have native IPv6.
I have native IPv6 but had it disabled for something a while back that was broken.
