rFactor League
Just wondering if there is going to be one?
Im keen as Wanganui river water if there is something in the pipeline, and if there is something getting sorted has there been any discussion as to what carset and tracks would be used?
( or perhaps a carset that fits the nominated track? )

Hey Metla
There is definitely going to be several rfactor leagues this year. It's just a matter of who will organise the series.
Nascar will move to rfactor as soon as a good stockcar mod becomes available. This will hopefully happen before the next series.
Porsche racing will go ahead as soon as we get firm commitment from a couple of organisers. (Unbound?)
NAGT will be a go as soon as it comes out probably, but like the Porsches we really need help on site hosting and organisation input.
Luckily we have alot of skilled people within our community and new people like yourself joining almost daily. The Easter LAN in Palmy will not only serve as a great racing event, but also help those in the know get plans together for organising all of the above.
stay tuned

Not a lot of point doing anything till ppl get over there GTL fixations..... there just aint enough days in the week.
Monday is a shit day for doing anything, so the Nascar Stockcar thing fits perfectly
Tues...... GTL (Perfect night for road racing)
Wed NASCAR
Thursday Some ppl have families....Got to see them a couple of times a week.
That leaves Fri........ yeah right.....Sat.......ahuh........ Sunday........
Sunday, no thanks, with work on Monday, I dont want to be tied to anything on a Sunday as it makes the day go to fast
If your not running GTL, Tuesday is a good night for pickup races.
Personally I would run on Friday nights quite happily. But a lot of others prolly would not.
As we have discussed, a porshe league would be great. If there is not enough racers fm NZ, we can grab more than a few fm the rest of the globe.

Perhaps we can work something out there for the points (Points stick at Eagle), but to do this any real justice we need to skin the cars and host the skins............ That I cant do anything with (Apart fm painting a few).Mattly wrote: NAGT will be a go as soon as it comes out probably, but like the Porsches we really need help on site hosting and organisation input.

NAGT is a wee way off. Beta testers have it at the moment, but I think its going to be a few months.

Sounds good to me
Need to sort out a few things,
what rFactor does if it does not have the skin of a player just entered for example
Find somewhere to dump/host the skins
Pointy pointy
Rules (GTrFactor RuleZ)
Find out how many are keen (will put up a pole later, may even fly a flag off it)
Invite a few overseas aliens to keep the local ones in check

That might be awhile, as more GTL series seems a go with larger tracks and faster cars, GTL will stay as long as theres people wanting to race it. if GTL dies down then maybe people will go to rfactor, who knowsBAZZIL wrote:yah the demolition nascar series will be cranking up on mondays soon me thinks.
How about just using tuesday when the GTL league finishes? =]

When the new packages for aadsl arrive I will upgrade to 512k which will allow a limited series to happen, but only for 8 drivers it appears. With Inspire running two rfactor servers is ther a problenm with running a series on tuesday night just becuase GTL is on a Tuesday night?

A webpage or seperate thread where all race details, screenies and points can be found. I think Inspector and Ron would be happy to help us here.
It would be good if we had the support of simracerHQ, so hopefully Ron will be keen on the idea.
Ron replys:
A new site is in the making, we are currently waiting for the inspire host box to free up b4 it can go live, but in the mean time the build is going ahead.
the res design is to allow me/you to incorperate the new games being played ie supoorting rfactor, gtr/gtl as well as nascar 2003 and gpl etc.
the new site will share the simcentral user database (one login for all) and news will be posted via the forum's etc, and access to the varoius leagues will be done via the forum usergroups.
this should make the cross management of the site very multi user/game friendly etc.
right now the only sticky areas (apart from my armspits dam it;s hot today) is importing the exported race results from the new games, and me getting away from BF2 and on with the new build.
in a nutshell, the new site will allow anyone thats keen to create a league under the games supported and the site confgures all the new pages etc for them.
this allows me to be free of the worry of trying to work around my shiftys to ensure on going support and allows the viewing public easy access into the racing community.[/b]

So your saying that those of us without GTL just have to suffer and not have any racing to do untill people get tired of GTL. I dont have GTL but I do have RFactor and am keen on a league. It might be small league due to people playing GTL, but it's something for us few who dont have GTL to get into and have some fun.Eagle32 wrote:The problem is loosing lots of drivers.Mattly wrote: is ther a problenm with running a series on tuesday night just becuase GTL is on a Tuesday night?

No I'm saying I'd prefer racing with the maximum possible number of people rather than making people choose between the two leagues which is what will happen if they run at the same time.wide load wrote:So your saying that those of us without GTL just have to suffer and not have any racing to do untill people get tired of GTL.
I don't have GTL either. I want to race rFactor, BUT I want to do it with a decent sized field of drivers. Preferably made up of the sacks from around here.
It's more fun to beat them than get owned by crazed aliens from overseas
Cop: Are you OK?
Randolph: I don't know. I'm kinda ****ed up in general, so it's hard to gauge.
