GTR2 Driving School?

Hi all,
In order to improve my race craft, I've been recommended to pick up a copy of GTR2, in particular because of the Driving School section of this grand-daddy of all racing sims.
Having just started with rFactor 2, it's evident that my driving is in desperate need of improvement
.. the only issue that rFactor doesn't provide anything to help me with that. Hence the suggestion to go through GTR-2's Driving School.
Is that something you would concur with? Or is GTR2 now so old that it's not worthwhile? Would there be any other racing sims that would offer a similar educational experience?
