Just bumping this thread with an update on some of my AC projects.
Summit Road
Trees were planted using Land Information NZ (LINZ) topo map/GIS data, over 50,000 of the things, loosely based on species data (exotic, coniferous, etc):
Ruapuna
Physical mesh needs optimising but I'm getting 60+ FPS. Plenty of work here still.
And kicked off another project, the magnificent Crown Range Road in Queenstown, following the Targa Rally route for 10km up to the top of the pass.
These tracks use LINZ's 1-meter LiDAR DEMs with orthophotos draped-over, down to 7.5cm/pixel at Ruapuna. If anyone knows about porting AC tracks to rF2 please get in touch!

Would you ever be inclined to do the old Wellington harbour street track? Would love me some E30s and Sierra Cosworths on that track
can you refer me to some info on the event? (or any other cool roads/events in the area?) I lived in Welly for two years but did more skateboarding than driving

There is a rF1 version floating around. Was OK to drive on but looked terrible.

Has anybody by chance done Hampton properly now? I have the flat international version but would be ecstatic if there was a short track done with elevation...

Does anyone have a source for Levels Raceway (Timaru) that would work on Assetto Corsa? I see something for rFactor2 on Steam, close but no cigar so to speak.
