Hi.
So I'm just really getting into sim racing.. I'm not great at it (YET!) But 1st things first, I need a decent rig.
As a builder and furniture maker and having engineer mates I'm keen to make an lasting one.
What I'm really needing help with is what sitting position to make it.
F1 looks cool but can't be very comfortable
GT position maybe??

Any advice or sharing of all your guys experiences would be much appreciated
Thanks in advance

I found whats important is something thats comfortable to sit in at all times, not just when racing to be best. My rig is more less setup like your standard road car is - in fact Im using the drivers seat out of my every day car (I replaced them with leather, don't worry Im not pulling it out of the car every night! lol). You need something that you can spend 2+ hours in at a time without getting a sore back etc so finding something that is in a comfortable position with adjustment for you would be the main thing.

I found the WSC position best, very similar to Karts too.

Slightly reclined and with your heels at the same height as your butt.

I also added small arm rests that don't get in the way during busy wheel work, but you can use on long straights.

I've slept in mine before..

Cool. So far I'm going down the track of super comfortable but it's just a mock up really so I'm leaving tones of room for adjustment.
I think best plan is to use it for a month and try all the different positions and see what I like

just a mock up so i can work out angles etc, so far the seat can go from rally to f1 positions. the pedals can pull in and out and the angle can go from flat to way past vertical. now i just need to attach the steering wheel to find the right spot or that
