The realism of AMS with the graphics engine of Project Cars 2!

Could this be our rFactor 2 replacement?
(Because personally I don’t see Studio 397 take rF2 anywhere to be honest)

Have you been living under a rock? Studio 397's development on rFactor 2 for the last 24 months has been astounding!

There has been some great content released too as DLC - if there was demand for it we would be running it, however asking people to spend another $10-15 on them has generally resulted in people not bothering.

AMS 2 does look great, however I am concerned with the use of the Madness engine. The tyre and physics model in pCars is terrible compared to Assetto, iRacing and rFactor 2, and one of the great things about AMS 1 was its great physics (modified from the gMotor engine). Here's hoping they can pull off something similar with AMS 2 but I don't hold my breath with the engine they are using.

Aside from switching to DX11, I cannot recall any particular major changes to rF2 - still no new UI and from what I have seen in screenshots, I'm not exactly blown away by it. The only thing I have seen them doing is releasing paid DLC? And Formula E just isn't doing it for me at all.

Considering that the realistic physics were a major selling point for AMS, I would be very surprised if they were to sacrifice that for AMS2? Surely it will have to be better than PCS2 otherwise there'd be no point in getting AMS2 if it's not really different than PCS2? But we'll have to see when it is released.

Studio 397 has improved VR Support, Implemented better wet weather track, animations, surface, puddles, texturing, light reflections, improved chassis flex in physics, improved tyre model, tuned suspension model, improved light tracing, etc amongst other things. The problem with these, are the fact that the majority of mods are all third party - so even though the updates have been implemented, often the mod creators haven't actually updated their content to include the latest updates. They've also released the 10 car GT3 pack (which IMO is the best GT3 cars out at the moment, which only maybe Assetto Corsa Competizione will be able to displace) as well as a few tracks. I agree, the Formula E doesn't interest me at all either.

From what I read they are using pCars Live Track 3.0 engine which handles all the track physics, so I would imagine if they are using that engine for the track physics theres a good chance they will be using Madness Engine for the car physics. I hope they can make something of it, as its a bit lacklustre in pCars 2. Was a little surprised they aren't using the rFactor 2 engine, especially after the DLC pack they released for rFactor 2 earlier this year.

I have played the game and it's okay similar graphics as PC2 I guess they are both using unreal engine. and first update was out yesterday 1.0.1 force feedback seems to be better on PC2 didn't realize that it it only has GT3 cars anyways it's a free copy so it's all good.
happy racing chaps

I believe you're talking about Assetto Corsa Competizione which is another game again.
