Just joined up to KiwiSimRacing today, and very keen to get any and all feedback as I look to enter the world of Sim Racing.
I've been playing racing games since GT1 way back in 1999, attended a few F1 GPs (Monza 2019 a real highlight) and other motorsport events over the years, raced a car around a track, but have never purchased a sim setup at home.
With the wife's blessing, I'm now looking to get something setup for around the $2000 mark, and want to get some reasonably decent gear ordered and setup over the coming months. I'll be using my existing Xbox One X as a starting point (F1 2019, PC2, Assetto Corsa, FM7, FH4) and could look at getting a gaming PC down the line.
Here is what I'm thinking of getting as a starting point:
- Thrustmaster TX for PC/XB1 - budgeting $600-$1000 depending on the model (458/leather)
- Next Level Challenger Sim Cockpit - budget of $600-$800
- 1x 24"-32" 1080P/4K, HDR, 16:9 Monitor - budgeting around $500
Cheers,
Dylan
