EA Partners and 10tacle publish GTR - FIA GT Racing Simulation

Realistic Racing Simulation takes off

Darmstadt (Germany), September 20th, 2004 – Electronic Arts and 10tacle Studios AG have entered into a co-publishing agreement on the publication of the "GTR - FIA GT Racing Simulation" in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. As part of this agreement, Electronic Arts will engage in sales and distribution, sharing marketing activities with 10tacle. The game was developed by SimBin Development.

"GTR - FIA Racing Simulation" will appeal to both experienced PC race car drivers and ambitioned newcomers. The scope of options in GTR ranges from the realistic Simulation Mode all the way to the easy Arcade Modes for the beginner. Ten realistic race tracks of the FIA-GT and –NGT categories as well as 56 licensed sports cars are waiting for the drivers. Once published, numerous add-ons will also be offered for download free of charge like the Spa 24 Hours Race with extra cars like Lamborghini Diablo GTR, Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, Porsche 911 BiTurbo...

The Swedish development team has put particular emphasis on a degree of reality not attained heretofore. This shows up in an excellent driving performance, detailed and realistic race tracks, professional contestants, and superb graphics.

"With GTR, the talented SimBin team has set new standards in the field of motor sports games," says Jörg Trouvain, CEO EA Germany. "Together with 10tacle we are looking forward to marketing this all-new racing experience in Germany and leading it to its deserved success."

Michele Pes, CEO of 10tacle AG: "With Electronic Arts we have a strong partner for the marketing of GTR. The creativity at 10tacle, the experience of EA Partners, and the quality of GTR altogether, are an exciting foundation for our collaboration, opening totally new opportunities for business expansion for us."

For the worldwide release of GTR at the beginning of next year, 10tacle is also looking for strong sales and distribution partners in selected regions.

On a related note, was talking to the media chap at 10tacle and he said a local distributor for ANZ hasn't been decided upon yet. So it may or may not be EA at this stage.
