Great race for the VRC race guys!!
Very happy with that, a 9th for the first race of the season (vs all my dead-last finishes in the last few S4 races).
Lost a place due to not racing the last lap after the chequered flag showed up. Lesson learnt and ThundeRR has a big bullseye on him now.
[edit] After viewing the replay, it was my own mistake with 2 laps to go that cost me 2 places. I'm still going after ThundeRR though. [/edit]
Can't wait till next week...

Sorry for dinging you Dick Twickle. I didnt know you were going to pit, I was concentrating so hard on trying to pass I didnt see your message up the top.
It's possible to pit there without slowing down on the bank at all.
Tut tut Flyboy for causing the first big ding >8p, wot do you have to say for yourself young lad! ?

Daza - Use your own pit stall please
Murphy - If you have your replay look at 49:42 into race. Lap 70 from your perspective. Exactly what was that? It looks like your blocking me (2 laps and 15 odd positions up on you, bringing a large draft with me) on the inside and then trying to run me into the wall?
Mike Moore - 44:03. You are incredibly lucky you didn't take 4 cars out. You can't jam your foot on the brake with 3 cars drafting you to slow for the pit on the racing line mid-corner. You have to get off the racing line. You can't be sure people have seen your pit in message. Half the time people miss them because they are too busy driving their car.
Everyone - Remember ye old warm down lap at the end. Two people nearly tagged me after they had finished messing around.
Other than that I thought it was pretty damn good racing

Cop: Are you OK?
Randolph: I don't know. I'm kinda ****ed up in general, so it's hard to gauge.

We would prefer to forget about last night....
But it was still fun
Anyways, unlucky night for myself, got caught up in the first ding, then midway through the race, busy concentratiing on drafting with Skelo and suddenly he darts left revealing a parked Google car in the middle of the track....another lap down for me, topped off with a full 360 spin as I veered accross the grass to avoid another crash but at least I managed to recover it on the fly.
Apologies to Trooper for the tap in the VR league, although I'm pretty sure I had enough up beside you for the pass I guess you just didn't see me.
Bring on next week, think I'd rather prefer to forget last night.

Good fun race there last night.
Got caught up in a ding near the start of race, and drifted up into Bite spinning him later on. Still cant work that one out. I knew you were there, and I was leaving room, then BAM your sideways in front of me. Drifted up so slowly I didnt realise I was I think. Sorry for that. Apart from that avoided any of the other dings.
Good fun drafting in the big packs as ya had to stay on ya toes. Lost the draft in the middle of the race till Skelo came along and then had fun racing him at the end. He had a much better last pit to pass me then I almost had a shot at him at the end.
Congrats to Gareth for the good qualify, shame the race didn't work out as good.
Bring on next Wednesday.

Good fun race
Interesting points :
- the start, and me giving Tony G a wee Liberace. 1st time I've ever had to brake heavy when the green flag dropped
- Mr Murphy screaming past when everyone was slowing down for an accident up ahead
- my incredible luck with some less than intelligent over taking passes by me
- geting smacked on the last corner and crossing the finish line going backwards, and I still finished 2nd
Who were the discussions were aimed at about not racing with a wheel but some other input device ? Someone kept leaping across the track as if they used a keypad ?

Ooopps, sorry for that Happy, my spotter said I was clear so I jumped in and had to lift so I didnt hit the car in front of me. I think you can understand this as I was giving you room until then.Happy wrote: Tut tut Flyboy for causing the first big ding >8p, wot do you have to say for yourself young lad! ?
No, he didnt slam into you, he didnt bump you, he didnt nudge you, he rubbed you, and rubbing son, is racing.

Had a fun race...the start was a little confusing when I shifted from 1st to 3rd gear, I think. The car did not want to go.
I had 3 close calls:
1. I was passing Daza low (I think) and it looked as if your car was coming down, so I ended up hitting the apron and almost losing control of the car. Everyone one who followed did very well in not creating an incident and checking up not to run over the driver in front of them.
2. Following Tony around and just making in through some spinning cars.
3. Following Tony again, lifted off the gas and so a spinning car and I believe a flipping Google car. The Google car flipped over my car, I still have to look at the replay to see how close it was.
Tough brake for Mark as we were drafting together and a back marker come up from the apron and took Mark with him. I think I know who it was, but I want to look at the replay on that one. But I will say this it looked liked the driver was using a keyboard.
