GTR SEASON 1 - RACE 8 Oschersleben

Post by Liquid » Sun Aug 07, 2005 4:58 pm

Motopark Oschersleben

2.279 Miles / 3.668 km

Motopark OscherslebenFairly flat contours create a smooth and fast circuit, but with two key corners to master for a really fast lap. Not a circuit to relax on - hard work to drive consistently fast.

Cheers for the setup Brett, slowly getting better, quickest now a 1.30.9, basically 3 seconds off the pace, not too shabby for me so all apples.

I know one of the corners to get right, the series of lefts, the big sweeper after the chicane still drives me balmy though :D

True, also potentially lethal if you get it wrong in the wrong place, slow and steady maybe the order of the day, I for one know too well if I push IT pushes back hard :D

Staying off the red curbing in the chicane.

That is all :)
Cop: Are you OK?
Randolph: I don't know. I'm kinda ****ed up in general, so it's hard to gauge.

Where is the Ferrai setup that the DuDs supply every week; even though it does not help me out much, since I can not drive it like Happy.

I was away for the weekend so did not practice, there will be a setup uploaded tonight probably >8p.

I would say start with the setup you used for barcelona if you had one, since the tracks are quite similar I think.

Man....that second race sucked! I spun on the same corner on every lap whatever line I took.
In both races from the start I got into 5th place....and went down hill from there!
Good racing though....I hope I didn't cause too much delay with the front runners passing me.

Pretty decent track and racing. Spun it away on the opening lap of #2 and had to fight back up the field. Odie, I was lights on and coming through...left it a bit late and tapped you, then got tapped off myself next cnr...so kinda worked itself out :> .

Good racing. Lots of pressure from Bazz in the second race. Good thing he fell off before I cracked :p

silly me pitted in the first race i had 15 laps fuel then (9 in brackets) which should have meant to pit lap 9 however i got called in lap 5(fuel) and the stop took 58secs!!?? so no idea what going on there, like the last meeting happys set just did circles everywhere in the second race after starting well so i pulled his sets out of the game and started jumping up and down on em then threw them to the cat.!!

Lights on??? I was not a lap down and just becasue you pooched the opening does not mean you can fight through the field moving people out of the way. It was the first time you came up on me and you had to make the pass didn't you, you couldn't have waited for the next turn. Since you were faster, all you had to do was give me time to let you by, ask anyone else that runs here, I have always let the faster drivers by.

well, I thought I had to go early but I was only called immediately AFTER the last race so managed a relaxed two races without any major problems. I think I spun once in two races!!

Maybe a 'dont care, Im gonna pack it in sooner or later ' attitude helps :D

anyway thanks to Bazz and Happy for cracking . That 2nd race was very tense for many laps with eagle bazz and myself separated by a consistent 1 - 2 secs. Pity Eagle didnt crack also but at least Porsches won out this time.

yeah I couldn't wait, a mistake to leave my braking so late and hit you, but as I said, not intentional...just the redmist descending and a Porsche on my tail.
Roll on next week and the unlovely Estoril...going to require some practice
