NZNL - InSPire.net Season 5 - Race 2 - MichiganBR

Post by odonohuesp » Tue Aug 16, 2005 9:56 pm

Race 2

MichiganBr

The second race of the season finds us at Michigan. After a rough 1st week for some drivers, some will be looking to make up points that were lost and some will be watching the racing line while pitting or avoiding the drivers slowing on the racing line to pit.

Odie will continue to try and maintain the points lead while come from the back of the field. Prometheus will also be starting from the back in attempt to gain some points for their team that fellow teammate Snake Rodgers lost. Teammates Jay and Rookie Driver Gregory will try and continue with their dominate performance for Team Marine and attempt to keep their team atop of the standings. The question for this team is will they have 4 drivers or will Mike Moore return. The last driver starting from the back is last season’s runner-up, Bazz.

An important thing to note about this track is that the pit entry is at the drivers discretion, but if you slow on the racing line to enter the pits and a driver submits a replay on you; you will be penalized whether an accident occurred from this or not.

Again starting from the back

Odie
Promethus
Gregory
Jay

RACE DAY BABY!!! :D
Cop: Are you OK?
Randolph: I don't know. I'm kinda ****ed up in general, so it's hard to gauge.

Gotta love turn 4 ! Predicting the usual carnage with people going in too fast and worn tyres into that one on the inside. :D

A SimTV reviewof last seasons' race showed tears and tantrums too.

Apols for the lack of vids too - life ! It's busy.

Tonight is gonna be awesome. Look foward to having a better run than last season. Can Inspire drivers race in the earlier league, providing they stay behind the registered drivers or do we have to stay out? I know this has probably been discussed adnoiseum (alot) but can you tell me anyway?

InSPire.net League drivers are welcome to race in the VR Concepts Race, provided that they take extra caution around those who are registered for points. There is no 'stay behind the registered drivers' rule for Qual or the Race.

Noice ! _b

And seeing this is my 1st time ever of not being able to qualify (and realistically, my last!) do I just not select drive on the qualify sequence ? And wait ?

Or do I select drive and sit in the pits, or do I go and get fresh, cold beer in anticipation of the carnage ?

Thanks for asking Prom b/c I was wondering the same thing since this is my first time starting from the back. I suggest you, Gregory, and me just follow the experienced Odie and Bazz

I think my pit crew screwed up, they gave me the banger engine that was supposed to go to the DuDs :p. I'm just happy it happened right at the start.

Well i'd have to say from where I sat in that race, that was pretty damn clean compared to last time.

Thanks for the enjoyable racing.

See you next week (hopefully in the new car!)

Enjoyed that race, pretty hard going but a decent result for Monsters and would have been better but for Odie's misfortune.
