NZNL - InSPire.net Season 5 - Race 3 - ThunderBay
Sponsored by Google
Race 3 of Season 5 has us making a trip to ThunderBay. ThunderBay is a new track for the league and was tested during the break, before the start of season 5. To make matters worse, Team Google with be sponsoring the race. Just kidding search engines. Anyway, to qualify for the prize drawing, you must finish outside of the top 15 of the InSpireNet Series of the NZNL or if you run in the VRConcepts league will automatically qualify, unless you are a regular of the InSPire league. Team Google wanted to afford the opportunity to all members of the NZNL.
Can Bazzil continue his winless streak and remain consistent by finishing in the top 5 of the race. Will the DuDs be able to maintain their team point’s lead? After a disappointing connection, can Team Monsters get back on track; mainly can Odie redeem himself after letting the team down at Michigan.
Will Prometheus continue with his surprising season and remain in the top 5 in the standings for the 3rd consecutive week? Last years rookie, Viking continue to shows improvement every week and climbs the standings. Also, Skelo is still applying the heat to Viking, as he did all last season. Team [sack] will be running with new colors after Danman’s impressive run last week. The team seems to believe that red is a faster color, but they forgot they if Jetboy is running the color, then there is no hope.
Some things to note about the track mainly pit entrance. There are no special rules to pitting except that if you slow on the racing line, you may be penalized. You have been warned. There is a drop in turn 1, so make sure you can control your cars in this turn and also, it can be a difficult track to draft and make sure if you do decide to make a pass on the inside of a car; be sure that you can hold your line through the turn.
Let the comments begin.

12th for me.
Probably stuffed my chance of a top 10 when I clipped the wall just before the last pit, Fly couldn't help but give me a little shunt from behind after that but the wall stopped me spinning and I didn't lose too much seped.
Then WHAM! My slow car was unavoidabley nailed by an orange and yellow Toyaota Prius Sorry bout that Prom. Nasty thing to happen upon as you come round the corner at 240mph.
And well done Mikool, good to see one of us midfielders get up from time to time.
Go the DuDs!

Apologies fellow Monsters, my turn to let the team down this week - pc shat itself just as I was about to make my first pitstop then spent 30min trying to get the thing running again.
Thought I had problems fixed but it will be a format this weekend methinks.
Congrats on the win Odie.

Well fun race that was, had the heart going with many close calls. Pity I self-spun on my first pit stop but at least was then able to run the rest of the race with Skel.
Good race at the end Jetboy, thought ya had me with a few laps to go as I wasn't going to cut you off for risk of dinging it, gd stuff man.

interesting track, really bit you if you got distracted for a second
tapped someone at one point, yet to watch replay to see what the deal was there but sorry bout that to whoever it was saw an opening and had some speed on so stuck my nose in
Got crunched into the wall by someone and tangled up in an off which put me down a bit...then last pitstop came in nice and slow and round went the car lost a heap of time there
had a good race with Wraith to the finish line....must have tried every line under the sun to work a way round him but the bastard seemed to be able to keep the speed up just when he needed it.....nice work fulla

Feckin ripped
Apart from that odie, inspector and i keeped changing places for the lead after every pitstop so there was some awesome racing been had by us.
so many close calls as well.
10 laps to go managed to get to the front after my last pitstop and overtake odie who had just came out of the pits, thought to myself this is it snake this is YOUR RACE.....pop she goes
Now i know how odie feels when that happens
Side note: GREGORY if you race like that in every race you will find yourself racing by yourself most of the time because no one will want to race with ya....just ask you dad. " i hope he is not teaching you to drive mate as i believe you are much better than that"
