Coolness, shame about the no of drivers, staretd out well but soon dropped off in a big way, overall now is just a hotlapping exercise.. a great pity as it is a forumla for very close racing, smoking tyres and two wheeled hoping off curbs, hilarious.

Fingers crossed for rFactor and new mods _b

Yes, the lack of numbers has been a little disappointing, I would have thought that the way these cars grip to the track like shit to a blanket, they would be right up most players alleys... guess Im wrong O_o (again lol)
So the question has to be asked .... who is going to race this series?
We have 11 registered drivers and had 11 votes on which styles of tracks to use in series:2
Please post below if you intend to run in series:2

Well, I gave the OWR mod a go but the serious flaws in the physics and the extremely high grip levels just didn't make it fun for me in the end.

Would have always prefered a GTP league in any case.

Ah well can't please all the ppl all the time, or even a few it seems...

So it won't win any simulation prizes, no biggie, plenty of very real/hard/demanding whatever games available.....If it aint your idea of fun having a blat round some great tracks, with no major worries of the tiniest error stuffing your race, then it aint for you.

The challenge and fun was in seeing how far you could push it and maintain it either wickedly sideways or two wheeling around corners and not flipping it.

Maybe my arcade roots showing,,just a bit of fun that's all.

If nothing else Daza and I had a good contest most of the time and that was just awesome, most fun I've had in any form of racing in recent times and just what I needed as an antidote to the NZNL which was too frustrating to be enjoyable anymore.

I dont take this sim racing that series I spose, little time to practice and all that jazz, so OWR was a welcome change to inject some fun back into proceedings.

I too would've liked a GTP series or even more TPTCC, as was starting to get a handle on it, well for me at least...

Will wait and see what new options and fun comes with rFactor and open wheel mods for that....

Aprt from the ovals, NR2003 may well be yesterdays fond memories. :D

looks like the OWR mod for n23k is toast, a goneburger
We can thank FIR$T for that one
The OWR1024 v1 Mod was only a beta release (to create interest and for testing) and the guys at OWRacing we busy finishing off the alpha OWR05 version when FIR$T dropped a bomb shell on them .....still the beta was a damn fine effort even with its flaws _b
I have a copy of the OWR05 version (95% finished) and it would have been awesome .....but FIR$T has killed that mod and any other one for n23k forever ....their loss (tossers :p )

So should we hold off for a while and wait to see what rFactor has to offer us?, so far all reports sound good on rFactor ....is this the future for OWR style racing? (real racecars dont have doors ;p )

could do, or even consider a small TPTCC season, that may garner more interest, but that's in comp with GTR for now....

May find some ppl like Pat and Ron etc may give it a whirl before the winter season of DT Linberg TPTCC starts

It may be weeks before we see if the shift to rFactor on tuesdays and the mod situation.

The renders are impressive, but they don't make a game..here's hoping, myself I'm interested in the TPTCC 2005, stangs in door to door racing would be excellent.

How about a short season with the PWF transam mod - its more finished than the pits mod

I am likely to be stuck on dial-up for the forseeable future (unless I can get a pay rise :D ), so I am keen for something with NR2003 and road courses.

BTW Sulley the V8 league is still running on thursdays.

Purchased rFactor and downloading F3 mod, will test and let you know if this could be a contender for a OWR replacement, its not Indycars but Open Wheels none the less.

It does has templates too....
