GTR Season 2 Format

So lets talk about race format

Do we do the same 2 x 20mins race
or
1 x shorter sprint race - 1 x longer race with 1 pitstop for tyres
or
1 x race

Do we have pitstops or not

The poll seems to be split three ways, with 20min races ahead by two votes, the question of pits hasn't been polled?

Do we go with existing results or redo for clarification?

I'm keen to do a pitstop as long as they work properly. Don't think we've tried it yet have we?

the idea could be just to make it a drive trough the pits and if you want to change tyers you can.

My guess is the people that voted for one race would rather have 30 min races instead of 20 min races. Meaning if there were a choice between 20 min races and 30 min races, more people would want 30 min >8p.

If you want to do pitstops, then we kinda have to do 30 mins... Im fine either way.

If you want my honest opinion, Pitstops for 30 min races is crap. It takes quite a bit out of the setup. But for those out there that are not interested in setting up cars and doing practise, it might be marvellous........

I don't see how a pit stop makes any difference to your setup.

If you're a good driver and practice your pit stops, it should give you an advantage. Lets not forget pits are part of racing - not just setting up your car.

Some of the "faster" cars like the Lambo, 550s and Saleen are murder on their tyres demanding more stops. This allows those cars less demanding on their rubber (e.g. Lister which is very kind on tyres) to be competitive. Otherwise it turns into F1 old-style sprints.

Not that there's anything fundamentally wrong with 30 min races - just that the GTR car differences only really show in longer stints.

That is but a small issue and I don't really think it's relevant/big enough to be a decision making point as far as pit stops go

I would like to see the same format as the last league. (With maybe 30 min races instead. Seeing as we are adding and taking away tracks, why don't we have one endurance track like Lemans or the ring. The tracks are long enough to have one or two pitstops. You could still keep the laps to say 11 - 12 and not get it too boring for everybody else.
Just a thought.

Oh god I'd love to do the Ring with some good drivers. Every time Growler n I've done it it's been with a pickup group.
