NZNL - InSPire.net Season 5 - Race 5 - DaytonaBR Hardcore

Post by odonohuesp » Tue Sep 06, 2005 11:21 pm

Daytona….Enduro……Who will survive? Who will have their race ruined during the first 10 laps? Who will stick around for the entire race to help their team out? Bazz won last week, will he carry how and win another won, or will he fall into another drought. We will also have a majority of the Monster Inc. team starting from the back in hope to work as a team and move up with Mr. Wood, while 2 of the DuDs intend to do the same thing. Will these 5 drivers work together to the front and use the draft during this 3 hour race or will they just slowly use the draft and pit stops to gain track position?

With the second half of the season upon us Bazz is being to pull away in the individual standings, while the team standings are tightening up. The largest gap in individual points is between 1st and 2nd, but the rest of the standings are up for grab.

This week is going to be a very long race and patience is going to be key. The pit entry rule will made during the practice session. It seems like drivers may be able to pit off of turn 4 as long as you stay off the racing line, but this is subject to change.

Drivers starting from the back:

Bazz
Tony G
Happy
Riven
Odie

No race for me I have a test 7-9pm. Won't be back till 10 probably. If I'm in there don't wait to start on my account because I wont actually be home yet. :p
Cop: Are you OK?
Randolph: I don't know. I'm kinda ****ed up in general, so it's hard to gauge.

Are we still running with the default FAST setup with the restrictor plate ?

My 2c worth for pit entry - off turn 4 is fine, and the usual rules apply : entering pits unsafely and causing a ding will be penalised.

One really long night for those of us doing double duty.

Might not be as much Inspire-whackers as usual tonight.

That's why I said "if I'm there I'm not actually there".

You have to have been one the server during practise to be able to join during the race. I won't be home between 8:30 and 9:30 to join practise.

Therefore everything hinges on my flatmate getting the message I've left him and joining the server for me on my machine. If he doesn't it's tough titties. If he does I'll join and drive a couple of laps when I get home then park it.

Unfortunately Al his test is 40% of my grade in this paper. If it was only 20% I might have done ;). But 40% is too much :p

Well it may work out in the team standings when Skuzz misses a race; if it is during this season.

What can I say?

What a banger!
Running 8th / 9th with Daza and we collide knocking us both back to 24th ish.
Sorry Daza, I was trying to hug the Yellow but it obviously wasn't enough.

So, i pick myself up and carry on...

CTD...

Come back 26th 10 laps down.

:Puke:

Bad luck Odie, you had a very unfortunate time.
And you Wraith...1st to... well back here with me.

....Next week eh?

Cheers all

Well done to Inspector :)

DuDs 1, 3, 4. a smashing effort that ;p
Bad luck to those that got disconnected :/ what a rip, specialy odie well in contention at the top of the table and gets ripped.

A tight finish it was with the DuDs (Happy and Bazz) racing SimTV (Bold and Prom), but with Mattlys assistance SimTV were held up alowing the DuDs to go around the outside and steal the posies from SimTV ;)

People really need to start thinking about if they have any skill in this game. 2 weeks in a row, I have been ripped by people who can not hold a line and at a track like this, it should be easy, hell you can let the track drive the car for you.

Also, its in the rules and you need to abide by them, if you come up on an accident and you fail to slow for it and take another driver out you will be penalized. I was coming up pretty fast on Bazz or Happy, but I locked up the tyres and avoid rear ended them, I can not say the same for the car that planted me.

Gareth...there was nothing you could really do about our incident, we were in the turn and a couple cars in front lifted which required me to lift and you could not lift fast enough.. No worries

Congrats to the DuDs for a stellar performance as it will help you in the standings. CTD's are really killing the Monsters. q-
