hmm not so much. We usually just work on something while doing some laps over the weekend. Start with the Fast setup then start working out whats wrong with it. Only worth doing once you know the track well. The Fast and Race defaults are quite driveable but you usually cant push with them

Also if you want to join the points frey.......

Reg your self there.

Excuse the spelling, fingers covered in grease and Nitro..... (really :) )

56K........... Ask Riven :)

rFactor........ Prolly at the end of the GT league, unless there are no decent mods. Although I would like to do a F3/A1 league, with 80% damage and some real tracks....... So I guess we will see what the Interweb brings us with that :)

Danman, I'm affraid that 56k jsut isnt going to cut it in GTR, and mosre than likely not in rFactor aswell. We get a number of DSL users lagging out aswell, though I suspect that is just there PCs not being tuned correctly for online play.

Riven - this is your first warning. You had better sort your act out or we will make you race in another series of Nascar oval racing as a member of Team Google!

I figured that would be the case for GTR, but the net code in rfactor (and hopefully GT Legends) seems much better. I've had several online runs with rfactor and haven't seen any warping (the temp boxy cars are a bit ugly though), and lots of door banging/paint rubbing.

I've been thrashing the GTL demo a bit lately too - really looking forward to that one :)

Umm, I have GTR, why would I want to buy it again for some different cars. More cars are being made available for GTR so Those twits are not getting anymore money from me for more of the same........ Someone will prolly rip the GTL cars for GTR, shouldnt be too hard.......... I'd rather spend my money on Beer...........

mmmm beer..

I'll probably buy GT Legends, as long as its not full price. But for sure, Simbin don't really deserve any more of my money untill they fix GTR..

I gave it a read at lunchtime. I think it sums everything up pretty well. If GTL turns out to be a big steaming turd like GTR then It will likely be the end of Simbin as far as the sim crowd are concerned. I'm still happy to throw $60 or maybe up to $70 on GTL as a I expect the single player aspect will keep me going for a wee while. I cant see the online being any worse than GTR, which is still playable most of the time, just not good enough for a hardcore serious league.

I actually prefer racing cars which still have suspension and body roll etc than the twitchyness of GT and F1 cars anyway.

It's funny how people percieve things. My first thoughts when trying the Legends demo was how much it reminded me of playing Race Driver2/V8 Supercars 2, and then even after trying it again once the full release of rFactor came out I thought that these two were comparable.

At this stage I would have to say I feel like I'm driving a car when playing GTR but both rFactor and Legends feel like I'm ice skating. The Escort MOD also is a good comparison, it feels like I'm driving a hard to control car whereas Legends and to a degree rFactor have over exaggerated the same physics that the Escort MOD has used to recreate and old car racing hard and fast.

I'm in the same boat as Mr Unbound.

Why would I buy another SimBin product cloned from one I have already purchased just to be ripped by the bad network play again.

I bought GTR not only because of it's great physics / cars / models / tracks, I bought it because I wanted to race all the simcentral chaps online.
While it does work to an extent, I'm rather dissapointed why something that was so evident in the original ISI engine was not corrected for what would have been a stonker of a game if the multi play had been up to scratch.

So I won't be partaking in GTL unless I've seen it can support multi play properly :)
