GTR GT league Race 1 Barcelona

Post by UnbounD » Tue Sep 13, 2005 5:15 pm

Circuit de Catalunya

The Circuit de Catalunya is one of the most modern tracks prepared to hold the most important motor racing competitions. Inaugurated in 1991, there are three different routes: the Grand Prix track, with 4.727 m; the National track, with 3.067 m; and the School track, with 1.703 m.

Or in English it aint that easy :)

Two 30 min races
Qual at 8:50
Race one at 9:00

Second qual and race to follow after a five min recess.

A Pitstop is Mandatory and must be made between laps 2 and 16 (we are under the impression that the race will be of 18 laps duration).
What you do at that stop is up to you, but the car MUST STOP.
Failing to stop will yeld in zero points and you will be Villafied in-forum!

Remember to set up your fuel, and practise the pit entry. Also make sure you well aware of where your Pit Speed Limit button is. Might come in handy.

Good luck to all.

yes and I managed to punt J Taylor twice in race 2 apparently on the same corner (I was pretty focussed at the time).

I apologise as I was trying real hard for about 4 corners before that to NOT hit you but I finally thought I saw a gap and dived up the inside. To me it appeared that you then turned in on me.
I understand your frustration and anger.
Believe me I wasnt deliberatly trying to hit you out of the way just pass on the inside. aplogies again.

At least the first time I got spun off too.

Up till that Id been having a pretty good two races with not many punts apart from when riven inadvertently took me off at the start.

The Viper (like Liquids Corvette and the single Lister) is at least something different from those hordes of yellow saleens and black lambos.

Yeah sorry my outburst was a bit uncalled for - just my frustration at not keeping pace :-)
I'm pretty sure you were lapping me so should have given you space sooner rather than later.
There is no blue flag is there? You get the warning from the radio but sometimes its a bit hard to hear....

you do get a blue flag indicator in the bonnet view with HUD. A flashing blue light and warning.

I got it quite a bit in the 2nd race as the leaders came past. ;)

np re outburst.. I understand totally. I was just worried I was going to be savaged again. Anthony Chesterman had already started the wind up before we left the game!!!

I think you'll find young hippy was cristened with the name of:

pissface

That's why we we always call him hippy because people might start thinking we're strange if we call him pissface.

Good racing last night all, the pitting didn't seem tooo bad afterall, now falling off only once but at worst possible moment, that's a whole nother proposition..no matter all good fun.

Just glad to be turning left and right and NOT being the ball inside the pinball machine :D

Time to start practice for Mangy Cur ;)

http://gtr-sc.zapto.org/

^^ Results. It's got a couple of issues but it is a crap load easier and quicker to input points.

- You MUST have the car your driving selected in your profile. Otherwise it won't give you any points. So you need to remember to change it before race day if your not driving the same car as the previous week.

- Your gtr name MUST match the gtr name in the profile on the site. This ones easy as I've already created all the accounts... just don't change your name in-game ;)

- Ignore the weight penalties and such. They are generated automatically and as far as I know we have no way of actually applying them in-game on the dedicated server.

- Team points are not a hassle with this system. So if people still want teams argue over a team size and set up your own teams.

Either catch me on Vent during the week or I'll send out pm's on the weekend with usernames/passwords. Then immediately change the passwords ;) But I don't need to tell anyone here that do I? :p
Cop: Are you OK?
Randolph: I don't know. I'm kinda ****ed up in general, so it's hard to gauge.
