NZNL - InSPire.net Season 5 - Race 6 - American Speedway

Post by odonohuesp » Wed Sep 14, 2005 11:33 am

American Speedway

With the 6th race upon us and closing of another chapter coming soon. We enter this weeks race at the American Speedway; a fictional track that brings speed and no restrictor plates. After last weeks Enduro, drivers look for a break in only having to race for an hour or so. Bazz continues his domination of this season, while 2 of his teammates Team DuD are running 2nd (Happy) and 5th (Inspector). While Tony G runs 3rd and Riven is 4th from Monsters Inc.

American Speedway is a rookie to the league and some drivers are still learning how to handle her. Gregory continues to dominate the rookies And this week he has talked his dad out of retirement and we will be in the presence of a “legendâ€Â

Chequers and Son of Chequers, this will be interesting. O_o

Team Voda are looking for a poduim finish tonight and we still believe that 3rd place in the teams competition is obtainable.

GO VODA. ;)

The distressed driver was bundled into the ambulance and all we could hear was him saying was......."I came round the corner and this white car came from out of nowhere......"

That'll be great actually Skuzz, just let me know if your qualify doesn't go too good and I'll restart it so you can have another go. I believe that worked quite well for someone else recently. :o

Reported as not racing this week:

Viking = On holiday

Danman = Work committments

Possibly not able to make it:

Skelo = Work committments

Each will recieve points equal to one place below last place (same as the guys got last week who couldn't make it) if you are not able to race.

Pitlane entry is (I think) off the back straight, I know in the practice race I pitted from the front straight and got a black flag :(

maybe need to let the main racer people know that a late pit entry results in a 30sec stop/go. and there is a bump in the flat turn (2?) if you lift on entry.

Sorry to all that I took out in the first lap crash. Not use to be up the front half of the grid.

2 black flags for speeding in the pits. No dings. I'm going for a cry ;(
Cop: Are you OK?
Randolph: I don't know. I'm kinda ****ed up in general, so it's hard to gauge.

Well grats to Wood as usual.

Enjoyed that race, some mind blanks on my part with wall clips cost me top 5 but can't complain.

Apologies again to Gregory for the tap, you and another were going slow, I hit the breaks so as not to rear end the google car and then slid high on the corner, sorry man.

Bring on next week!

apologies go out to Ian....fishtailed in front of you after recovering off the wall....big ding D:

Rest of the race just forgettable...spins, stupid errors.....first time I've raced in ages not in my race seat so will blame the uncomfortable damn chair

Interesting track though, raped the tyres when I pushed hard but managed to get through 1 stint with green tyres left if I backed off and took the lines clean (which seemed to elude me most of the night)
