Protest Results NZNL Race 6

Post by TonyG » Mon Sep 19, 2005 6:28 pm

Protests American Raceway

Apparently Murphys Law has left, but the decisions are as followed

Flyboy v Murphys Law Race Start

Murphy is weaving and slowing unnecessarily before the race start, this is directly against the rules for start procedure and can annoy and effect following drivers. If you want to play about at the start of races do it offline not online
Warning given, if it happens again penaltys will apply.
NOT GUILTY WARNING

Flyboy v Murphys Law

Murphy is accused of contact in a turn with Flyboy and causing Fyboy to spin.
The replay did not show contact between the cars (caused by lag we presume), and while Murphy did come up slightly during the turn, Flyboy came down far too far and caused his own misfortune
NOT GUILTY

Also the commitee are looking at first lap accidents as this is the most likely time where careless or inattentive drivers can do the most damage when everyone is bunched. Taking out other drivers this early in a race may incur stiff penalties

Self spinning in many other leagues can be a cause for penalties, this league does not apply penalties in those circumstances but may be something that is looked at in the future.

If you cause a ding by self spin like Wide Load it's generaly a warning as we only really penalise silly driving, if however Wide Load does the same thing again he is likely to get a point deduction.

The solution is more practice, and practice with cold tires.
