NZNL - InSPire.net Season 5 - Race 8 - TalladegaBR
The last race of Season 5 is upon us, with TalladegaBR as the backdrop for the action.
In the InSPire.Net Season 5 finale, the battle for the top trophy is as good as over. Bazz only needs to run a lap, even if the server is completly packed, to win the title. Happy has a comfortable gap and will look to cement 2nd, but from 3rd back, it is all on.
With Prometheus away from home and getting last placed points this week, the battle for 3rd will most likely be a civil war within Monsters Inc. Ironically, Riven - who is at the back of this tight pack - should get an early advantage as he will get to qualify, whereas Odie and Tony will have to start from the back. Inspector and Bold also have a good chance to leap up to 3rd if Monsters Inc self-destruct.
Monsters Inc also have the teams race to deal with, being 95 points behind the DuDs.
DRIVERS STARTING FROM THE BACK:
Ze Bazzil
Happy
Prometheus (Away)
Odie
Tony G
In the VR Concepts League, the lead is only slightly less. Ian needs to finish 6th or better of those registered for points to take out the VR Concepts championship, even if I win the race, but given my history at Talladega (29th and 32nd this year in the InSPire league), the championship looks to be in the bag.
1830 - VR Concepts practice
1930 - VR Concepts qualifying
1935 - VR Concepts race (25%)
2030 - InSPire.net practice
2130 - InSPire.net qualifying
2135 - InSPire.net race (45%)

Yup, I'm not racing this week. But have a fun night fellas !
Ahh, just think, this time last year we were racing trucks at Talladega, with a packed field of just 18.
By November 04, we had shifted to some serious teams racing for a change - mmm, nice paint jobs.
Feb this year, ahh summer, it seems a distant memory, we had the Monsters v DuDs challenges with a nice win from Inspector.
Me, I love superspeedways because it's nice to race close and tight to your neighbour - something quite amazing to see considering the racing is done over the internet thingy.

Starting the thread was the best responce I had to avoid re-tpying a constitution for a group at uni, and to make things worse the meeting to approve it was called offodonohuesp wrote:Wow, I wasn't even out of bed and headed to work when you posted this Gareth. Tuesday is usually the day I do the write up. Good on ya, maybe we can promote you to the Inspire Committee

LOL - Actually spent most of the night coughing and got next to no sleep. Still waiting for the anti-biotics the doctor gave me to kick in and I am staying home again today to rest up for tonights race. Feel like a brown paper bag filled with sand that has been laced with 2 week old monkey shit........but I'll be there tonight, that is the way of the DuD!!!
With Bazz already owning this years number one spot and Happy needing to secure his second, you know that Bazz, Skuzz and I will be driving for the team tonight. We will be ensuring that Happy holds that podium position no matter what and in the process we will also be assured of the team win as well. I'm actually not too concerned if you or Bold or even Eagle beat me in the overall standings, having the two DuD's finish 1st and 2nd and a team win for how ever many concecutive seasons it is now is my main focus tonight. The battle for the top ten spots will be fascinating indeed and I wish everyone the best of luck tonight.
All hail the DuD's..........Kings of the Nascar Ovals
Inspector

Yes you certainly take the ripped award , but then you get that when you join a countries network that has been around since the stone ageodonohuesp wrote:I am going to break out the should, woulda, coulda's and say that if it wasn't for the connection drops that the Monsters suffered this year, the DuDs would not have the top spot

ANGUS
Now everybody it's the last race.
You all understand that you have to let ANGUS have poll on these 2 race's,
and on the VR race you have say back at least 1 car length as I cross the finish line.
Top 5 is O.K. for the main race.
Good Luck All. and remember.
