NZNL Season 6 - Race 5 - Daytona_NP Enduro

Post by Inspector » Wed Oct 12, 2005 1:49 pm

Thread for Race 5 of the New Zealand Nascar Leagues 6th Season.

This race is proudly Sponsored by:

The one that some have waited and the one that some have feared. The Enduro!!! Will you be the one that has their race ruined by a driver during the first couple laps to only decide that it is past their bed time and disconnect around that lap 45 mark or will you be the driver that their butt is going numb and you lose concentration to only take out a 10 car draft. Then we have the driver you will complete 50 % of the race to only lose their connection and their chance of winning the Enduro or we have the other driver that runs 95% of the race and the engine goes pop.

Tune in Wednesday and have all your questions answered plus many more.

Bazz continues to show consistency on the track and Prom is still impressive. Prom whatever you are doing you need to share it with the rest of us. Wraith is currently carrying his team and if the other [sacks] could get their stuff together, they could be a contender.

SimTV is still atop of the points standings but that should change this week with how dominate Inspector has been at Daytona the past 2 seasons.

So begin preparing yourselves both physically and mentally for a long race and be sure to have some sort of drainage device or your Depends for the old folks. If you do not know what Depends are google.com it.

Good to see no protest from last weeks race, here's hoping the enduro will be raced with the same consideration for others and we will all enjoy it.
Good luck all.

3 drivers were missing from last weeks race and one pulled out early. Thats what made quite a bit of difference!!
That and being able to see around the corners.

Good luck tonight.

I can feel the pain coming on just thinking about tonight
Cop: Are you OK?
Randolph: I don't know. I'm kinda ****ed up in general, so it's hard to gauge.

Going to be interesting given the setup isn't that flash, in regards to keeping the skirts off the asphalt (Snake's pink one excluded).

Am kinda glad the VRC race isn't enduro'ing tonight, but it'll be fun for a 25% length. :)

Freakin' Woohoo!! _b _b

Last 5 laps of the race was the most intense I've experienced yet. :cute:
Four of us racing door to door, bumper to bumper and all of us for position.

Roll on next Wednesday! :D :D

They were good laps. I managed to tag on the back (and stay out of the way) for some good drafting practice....the rest of my race was shite though.

Noon that qualifing lap of yours in the VR concepts race was GREAT.

2 tenths faster the chasing pack, I think I might have to have a squizz at the reply and see if I can learn your trick.

A 42.3, on the 2nd lap, is such good car speed. _b

Well since im in the midst of a 4 1/2 minute tow with 17 to go...thought I may as well take some time to apologise for my crapness tonight. I was making a mental list of who to say sorry to but it's to fuking long to remember now.

Well since Im now in the midst of a 3 1/2 minute tow with 10 to go cos my team didnt even attempt to fill the tank after my last tow...I thought I'd apologise again for my crapness.
I may just rack up enuff protest points this race to get my ass booted out.

a well done to viking for winning that one :)
I would have made a move a lap earlier if I hadn't miscalculated the end by one lap :D
Thought we had another lap to go and right shat myself when I hit u viking ;)
Lucky it was teh end.

Some good drafting there with Chequers, Biteme and Prom :)

spot of a long race that...good fun in the large drafting packs though, think I saw 224mph occasionally
Bit of a rip atround lap 150 when things got a bit tight with cars exiting pits, draft coming up behind me and me having to play thread the needle....sadly needed a larger needle :(

Caught up at start, then got dud'd entering pits (its a conspiracy i tell ya!) and got blackflagged for dangerous pit entry.
:bollocks_to_that_decision:

Rest of the race went smoothly but 2 laps down after 2nd pit didnt help, at least I can qual next week.

Apologies to Rob C at the end was day dreaming until caught a glimpse of Inspector up high and tapped the brakes, sorry mate.

Not a bad run for the sacks, gd stuff jetboy, just needa teach people what lane they shd be in exiting pits ;p

Grat to Viking for the win _b
