Seeing the two teams on a track is great.

_b

The only question I'd raise, is if it might be worthwhile for guys to create a new account for these races (when the teams get finalized for the series) that simply puts their team first as in "Red Rob C" . . . so that you can immediately see the relative positions of your teamates/opposition using your F2 . . . though as we'll only be using short tracks, it might not be much of an issue . . . still . . . with the possibility of guys going many laps down due to damage, it might be worth considering ?

Yikes.

I've downloaded the skins, and changed my number for my driver to 605. I've selected the new skin with the new driver in both my driver profile and under opponent manager, and made my 605 driver an active driver.

But when I logged onto the server just before, it would only show me as 303, with ye-old puke green skin.

So why am I so dense as not to see what I've done wrong here please ?

The "Opponent Manager" only affects what you see in offline practice.

As far as I know, all you have to do is change your MULTIPLAYER car in your "Player Profile" to be the new one you want to use online.

One cause for wrong numbers is if someone has been on the track in the current session with your number.

Choose "Player Info" from the Nascar main menu

You will see your Wednesday car.

Drop down the menu and find your #605 car and choose it for both Single Player and MultiPlayer

Close and save

Go to the "Opponant Manager" in the main menu and you will see your Black Team car. I have already entered your name and car number in the there.

Do not change anything else and you will be fine. Jump on the server and see if it works.

Yus and thanks Inspector too for spending a good portion of late last night generating the acutal car files for us to use for tonights race so in our practice race will be able to see the two read / black team cars making for a much more entertaining and accurate practice run

:)

The 'Red' and 'Black' names prepended to the driver names Rob could be a good idea. The numbers for the teams are 7XX for red and 6xx for black so that might be easy enough alone to tell what team they are on (we will find out in tonights practice race :))

OK - A number of people have PM'ed me etc to find out how to get these cars going so here is a short explanation for everyone.

1. Grab a beer from the fridge.

2. Send chocolate fish to Inspector

3. Start Computer.

4. No the big button sir........

5. Yes turning the power on at the wall "WILL" help sir.....

6. Start Nascar

7. On the main menu for "CUP" cars select "PLAYER INFO"

8. Ensure your profile name is selected (top left). For most people this will mean you can see your Wednesday League car already

9. With "Single Player" selected drop down the little drop down thingee majiggee and find the car you have been allocated.

10. Repeat the above step with "Multi-Player" selected.

11. Exit and save - you have finished but to ensure you have in fact done it right.....

12. In the main Nascar CUP menu select "Opponent Manager"

13. You should see here a picture of you car and in the details panel you will see I have already named and numbered your car.

14. Do not under any circumstances change anything in the "Opponent Manager" as this will alter your .cup.car and no one else will have the changes so will not see your team car when you join the server. Keep your sticky god dam fingers off.

15. Grab another beer and join the server and prepare to get your arse kicked by the glourious RED TEAM.

;p

Supastocknut can not race tonight and has been replaced by Painkiller.

Download the replacement skin for The Red Team Car# 710 and save to your series\cup\cars directory and overwrite the original.

The server is up and running now rotating through the tracks. If you try to join when the server has moved to race you will just have to wait for the race to end. If you are on the server and it moves to race please do not muck around but get the laps completed so the server can kick over and others can join.

LOL Prom _b

Snake I just grabbed all the tracks and put them there so there was no issues at - you know what this lot is like.

Everyone should remember to have a quick check on the rules before you start. Basically the main thing you have to remember is this.....

Rules:

You are racing for points for your team. Individual points do not count although they will still be listed at SimRacerHQ because that is the way the software works. The only final score that will count will be the team score. All cars will score points as per standard Nascar scoring, even if you get taken out on lap 2 you will still score a place as long as you do not quit the game. Drivers unable to attend will be given points for one place below last place. The only don't is, do not attack below the line or above the line. In other words do not deliberately drive from the track below the track inside line to attack another car and do not drive from below the line up into the racing traffic to attack. Obviously there will be times when cars spin out of control and this happens, generally people will say sorry I was out of control etc, but if you think it was deliberate then have a look at the replay and protest through the forum. Anyone found to have attacked deliberately will have their points for that race removed from the team total. There will be no restrictions on pitting as there has been in the past stockcar races but if there is issues in the first few races where there are only a few cars left running and many laps to go, the pits can be closed at set times or when a set number of cars are left running. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. No reversing into other cars, no attacking in the pit lane. The use of Ventrilo to tell your team mates who to attack/block/take out/support etc etc is highly encouraged, and extra points may be awarded to the best sarcastic remarks to the opposition team.

Hints:

You are racing for points. You score more points the higher up you finish. The attacking car often comes off worst, why? Because the weakest part on the car is the engine. You hit someone full noise front on and you'll blow your engine almost straight away and you'll score bugger all points for your team. You charge at someone full noise and miss and hit the wall you'll blow your engine and score bugger all points for your team. Yes this is Stockcar racing but skill is required, you need skill to take your car to the front and score maximum points for your team, you need skill to block the leading opposition cars without getting in your team mates way, you need skill to take out opposition cars with wrecking your own car and without wrecking your team mates cars.

If you want to enjoy this league then don't throw your brain out when you get in the car. It is a race that you can hit in, not a demolition derby or last man standing.

Dumb question time. Do you not have to go into opponent manager and enable the drivers before you can see them?

Certainly a good bit of fun, many a ding went down and many a ripping was had.
I got ripped on the first race in T1 she was an Ace shot scored by that dodgy driver Carnage.

Certainly allows for a bit of creative car design :)
