Racing Lan - Ardmore - 19-20 nov

Post by bman » Thu Nov 10, 2005 3:14 pm

Planning a wee lan in a couple of weekends - 19-20 NOV - hopefully we'll have GTL by then. A mate rents a place in ardmore which has a good sized 2 or 3 car garage. It'll hold 10-12 or so I'd say. The place is on an acre or 2, is away from other houses, and it has space for anyone who wants to crash there.

Tables and chairs might be a problem, but that'll get sorted.

Planning on lots of racing (GTL!!) and other games. Also planning on Monza bringing some poker chips and having a poker session in the evening as well.

Easy BBQ for meals.

And a few drinks perhaps...

People who have expressed interest so far are...

Liquid
Me
Grover
Monza
3-4 mates of Jono (his flat - some people may remember jono from mini racing ages ago...)
MajorHavok (if he gets a weekend pass - haha)
Snake?

If you're keen, post here so we get an idea of numbers etc.

I should be around then. If I don't compete, I might pop in to have a look.

mmm - just been chatting to jono - the place has a pool as well, but he's from england so it needs to be a heat-wave before he gets in... pffft - bring your togs!

Liquid should have the network sorted =] We'll probably need a couple of tables I'd say- I'll bring a couple myself.

The place is on Popes Rd near ardmore - just by takanini, and close-ish to the motoway offramp. I cant remember the address off-hand, but I'll get it soon.

hmmmm got a bit hasty with my profile name.....how u change?
Whats zis won do? :Puke: wheheyy. O_o whys he doing that?

Hmmm dont think I can make it. Already going to a lan in Ardmore with a pool!

Hey brad, figured out why im spinning easily, even after calibrating throttle is about 15% on and always 10% to the left, so when brake hard i just spin and spin for ever and ever.

Place is 184 Popes Rd, Takanini. From Porchester Road (if coming from Papakura) turn right into Popes Rd, go to end........turn right 4 times get onto Porchester Road again and turn right into Popes Rd, go to end....turn right again 4 times if u want ... u should then see Porchester Road again, when going to the end of Popes Road this time you'll see street pole with white reflector (easy to spot)... its that entrance to left. Or alternatively turn right 4 times.
Hope this helps, dont mention it, anytime!

My plans for this weekend are all up in the air atm, but will make the effort to come out for a bit, if not just to drop off my poker chips. Sorry guys.... :(

I will try to get out for a visit and to meet you all, don't know if I'll have time for much/any racing though.

Spending all my off-line racing time in the rfactor trainers :)
