Can anyone fill me in on getting onto the server, especially not having to friggen register and log in, thats a royal up the date annoyance.

I presume the IP is the same as NASCAR. Is there anything else I need to do?

Do I go through the Internet link or the LAN/IP address link

either way this friggen login bullshit keeps appearing.

Any help is appreciated.

you do have to register with simbin.

(I hope I get the order right - doing it from memory)

then you:
1. run the game
2. enter simulation
3. enter multiplayer
4. wait till it searches and finds nothing
5. click on enter an IP addresss and type in the server address 230.114.130.15 (I hope)
6. enter your rego password
7. wait till it searches and finds the server
8. click on the server/game and click on join on the bottom right.
9. choose your car

and youre in

I always let it do its searching before entering the IP address.
Its a pain but pretty easy if you do it methodically.

ps: make sure your connection is on ISDN!!!!!!

3.5 Select Lan (not internet)

But yeah you do need to register with Simbin and have to log in every single time you try to join an internet game..

Cheers for the help.

I take it the server is not 24/7 as it I got through all the tape and loaded the IP and it came back with no server.

What time will this be up so I can get some practice on-line and try the FORD setup _b

Thanks wide, guess I am not meant to get in there.

I got GTR to go racing not to get frustrated by having to follow a long trail of procedure...this register, login shit sux. Have registered, it accepted it. Tried to login and it sits there with the please wait then decides to bump me back to the selecting simulation screen...

So I go through the process again...30 friggen minutes later I am still being bounced through these screens, not logged in and unable to get practice.

Unless a minor miracle happens you won't have me in there wrecking your game tonight.

All InSPire Net gaming servers were down for about 20mins while they were migrated to the UPS in the rack.

You're not meant to be playing games during work hours anyhow ;p

Thanks Riven, finally got in and done a few laps.....should still be in there but like you say, I should be working. The beauty of being your own boss working from home....play and work when you feel like it not when the man who pays your wages tells you.

Haven't figured out yet how to get the laptop hooked from the infield of a speedway track yet so I can do some hot laps between the racing!!

Bill Ryder - he races off and on. Been around for quite some time. He raced in the both the last two GTR leagues as I remember.

I had the login error most of the night, so I raced with you guys in spirit, so to speak. Yay, I won!

Bill, I want to work with you guys.

one thing with the login is to make sure you don't hit cap locks when entering your password/name. I did this one night and kept getting bounced back out  til I remembered. Sometimes you just have to restart the game and try again.
