if i am really lucky i just might make the start or just miss qualify so I have left the missus with instructions on how to join the server so its all ready when i arrive home ( chances are she will forget  ) so if you see Big Al on the server but not racing it means i havnt made it in time.

The track is set to California NOT California BR, can someone change it to the correct track?
The two tracks are different and for all those who have been practicing on BR should be able to race on the correct track

CaliforniaBR is not on the server for some reason and obviously that is why California is running. I will have to upload my track to the server and hopefully she will be all go with 1 hours practice from 6.30pm

Really? Dammit. Obviously us rookies did not even notice it was wrong and have been putting in the practice hours on California (online) not realising there was another track to download. Are they similar as now those who have to use a new track will be at a disadvantage. ;(

The two tracks are different in that BR has two "lines" around the corners and enables safer and better passing, it was always advertised as BR :)

Download CaliforniaBR Track

The tracks are identical but this one has more grip out wide, i.e. it is more of a 2 lane track than a one line track. Those who have mastered the original version will find the BR version easier.

Ahhh ok that sounds like nothing major then Tony. Yep I should have read the intial post more clearly re the track, but it's the first time I have come across any of these tracks and just jumping online all week to practice means I didn't have to worry about even selecting a track :) I am lazy like that and therefore never picked up the error when it didn't warn me I never had the file.

But no biggie, should be fun. God knows watching this cricket on right now isn't ;(

(More grip sounds good to me inspector, cheers.)

Inspector, are you able to make the small setup change that I mentioned when I started organising the race (+1lb RF, +0.5lb LF and RR)? This would help with tyre wear (with little change in handling, feeling etc), those who I have talked to today are in favour of it.

Great race and pretty long :D with 20 odd drivers there were quite a few periods were I was feeling a bit lonely out there :>

Well done happy, great pitstops and driving.

The difference in pitstop time between myself and happy was very significant, i was losing between 5 and 10 seconds per stop but we were evenly matched on track, this resulted in my second placing being one lap down over 250 laps.
I was taking it easy on the stops towards the end as the last thing I wanted was a spin and lose 2nd.

Well done BCingU, no doubt you will be giving everyone a few worrys in the InSPire league next year :)

Well I don’t think that I would want to race that length every week. It was fun, but hard work.

I pretty pleased with the race result in the end. Initially I thought I could stick with the “fast boysâ€Â
