I was forced to abandon tonight's racing due to MOMO problems...
Periodically the brakes and accellerator would spike full on stopping me in my tracks. Then what used to be a mere 20% dead zone requirement on my brakes turned into 50% and then more... Evil stuff.
So that combined with other unpleasant MS Critical Update problems has meant I've spent the rest of the evening reinstalling windows with many more hours to go before I'm sorta back to square one.
And then there's the problem of what to do about this wheel...
Still good to see a few folks got in some decent problems despite GTR's "quirk"s.

I thought this was a fun fill-in till xmas.. so why all the drama bout points, this is even less formal than the last league, which ppl took pains to point out when I questioned how points were allocated etc...
Your being inconsitent, funny how that now the shoe's on the other foot its now a drama.....
Keep it simple, dont bother with points at, if you must keep score just do placings on your own.

I would argue that prom. For those of us lucky enough to get in and race it was bloody good. Of course I would say that but those V8's with that setup were absolutely marvellous. Just a touch of oversteer but eminently stable, great power and good braking.Prometheus wrote:I think I had more fun than you guys last night
and the racing was tight and close also. I was harrying bill (yeeharr) for a couple of laps and also remember putting jack under lots of pressure at one stage, watching him almost lose it at quite a few corners. I think Oran park asked a driver to pressure someone rather than lunge for a corner as passing places are very few and far between. It was better to sit close and wait for a mistake. Very VERY good fun.
and then near the end I had Growler closing up on me and pressuring me! again, the racing got somewhat tense and great fun.
I WAS briefly tempted to play GTL (as it turned up last night) but playing with myself isnt that much of a turn on....
ps: points arnt a problem but Ill record and post them in the thread after each race anyway.

Nope, talking to myself, as I'm wasting my breath as per usual. I neither have the time nor the patience to try and explain it to people.Inspector wrote:Who are you talking to Sulley, because Famin posted points I guess your talking to him?
If your spoiling for a fight, then just go somewhere's else, I'm not playing today.
I have better things to do, like WORK and later maybe practice for next weeks V8 race

LOL - It's almost like a complex now Sulley.
You should put more thought into it before you fire back. We are asking for points to be given to people who got dropped. How does this put the shoe on the other foot to disagreeing with your stand on casuals getting no points? If I was complaining that Happy & CarnaGe getting points effected my score you would have a case to argue but in fact it is the opposite.
I didn't make the format for this league, I didn't post points for last nights race and I didn't suggest the points were important to me, just that the points may be important to others when you consider a drivers chances of competing with those of similar skill level is ruined by getting dropped from even 1 of the 5 races available. It is much more fun if you use the points to compete with others of your skill level over a series and that is why we play multi instead of single player as Famin mentioned in his other post.

Ah a simple case of not being clear, the shoe is the issue of points at all not the varying points allocation issues. If as I thought this is a fun league then points dont matter..hence my comment about the inconsistency.Inspector wrote:LOL - It's almost like a complex now Sulley.

The expediant course is to forget points for round one then I spose. Another thought is if issue is compete with people of equal skill, then what happens on the track when and if you can get in is the core its not overall score on points table.
If the points dont matter to you why do you feel the need to attack and dismantle anything anyone says about it. The complex crack is beneath you Bryden, or should be.
I went off a bit and apologise for that
I would write you a long letter telling you what I really think of the way the "simracing community" is operating if I thought it would do any good, but sadly I doubt it would.
It will not do anyone any good going into that here, if you wanna hear it on a personal level that's fine...we'll take it offline, just give the word.
