Skin Pack: - Massive thanks to Hugh and Sulley for doing the skin pack. _b

Custom skins will be used for this league. Please check the NZrFL:21 Skin Thread - http://www.kiwisimracing.net.nz/forum/v ... =4&t=18209

Car templates are located in skin pack.

For those that are not able to do skins, Sulley has offered his services. PM him with the following details:
- Car you are using (Make model only i.e. BMW 2800cs or BMW 2002tii etc)
- Your 3 digit race number (not starting with 0)
- You name on the points site

You will also need to post in the skin thread your choice as well. Skins need to be in by the 15th August - You have the time... get moving

Please email skins to: KSRSkins@hotmail.co.nz (only if you are not doing them through Sulley)

NOTE: No late skins will be accepted, you have plenty of time so get cracking!

If you need help with skinning please post in the skins thread.

Skinpack download links:
http://files.ksr.net.nz/rfactor/skins/N ... KINPACK.7z

It is recommended that you delete any test or WIP cars (after backing up) to avoid issues once the skin pack is done.

Track Updates
(To be added if required)

Teams:
Optional teams. Up to 2 drivers per team. It is preferred that team cars have coordinated custom, or default skins.

Driver Etiquette
The usual, e.g.

It is the passing cars responsibility to make the pass cleanly and without contact. Without a 50% overlap it isn't a passing move, it is a dive-bomb.
The car being passed must give a much room as is realistic.
Defending your line on a straight is OK, but in one direction only.
Attempt to keep two wheels on the racing surface (the marked, paved race track) at all times.
You should not improve your position by using non racing surfaces.
Headlights never need to be on.
Save any post race celebration driving antics until several corners past the finish line.
No text chat during Qual, or while racing.

Protests

Protests will be looked at. Please feel free to make them in an adult manner.

Submit the lap and time that the incident occurred on. Crash Committee members will decide who was at fault. You are not to lay blame if you wish your penalty to have effect. Offensive behavior by other drivers that does not have a direct effect on you can still be submitted. Please remember, if it does not show up on the replay or a video is not available, it is almost impossible for the Crash Committee to make a ruling.

Protests must be submitted by 8PM the Thursday after the races.

Send protests via PM to Crash Committee

When lodging protests please keep the protest detail to a minimum. Track, Race #, time, and who is involved are all that is required.
Please do not submit a detailed story as the CC will be able to determine the cause. Use your forum + driver name when submitting protests.

Protests will be ignored if not submitted via PM to Crash Committee, or if incorrect details are submitted.

Penalties

Penalties will be issued out in a form of loss of either race grid positions, series points or loose the ability to join the next race depending on the severity of the penalty.

Teamspeak:
It would be appreciated if all drivers could at least be in listen mode on Teamspeak, for the safety of all.

There will be NO talking on TS during qualifying, or use of in-game chat. Failure to adhere will ensure your loss of qualification position (moved to back of grid or start from pit.). There will be no warnings.

Points site / sign-ups:

Sign up at the usual points site http://points.kiwisimracing.net.nz. Follow the instructions and post back here if it all gets too hard.

NOTE: Use a 3 digit number, not starting with zero. Drivers from previous Tuesday night leagues have first pick on their numbers (check the points site).
If using a default car, sign up using the default car number.

Limit 42 entries, so don't bugger around or you'll miss out.

This post will be updated with any changes made, so please check regularly for important updates.

Nice choice _b

The 2800CS highest top speed of the group, fantastic grip, most "modern handling" of the cars, gentle understeer, but quite heavy and loses on mid-corner speed and braking.

There are a mix of tracks here that will suit this car and some that may not...

The 2800CS responds very well to some setup changes to get around the mid corner understeer push it has on default.
It's one of the easier cars to drive on the limit, and unlike the other BMW it's not possessed by satan!

Aint that the truth. }8D If the rear end would behave it would be a great car to drive.

tail happiness on 2002 is why i didn't go with it... especially on the fast right hander on the hill in essington....

Alfa was my next choice but i can't keep the motor together and it seems to loose power in top gear

Looking forward to this

Do any of the cars have a considerable advantage over the others?

Reason being I'd prefer to choose one that's going to be in the pack racing then on my own at the front/back of the pack.

The Mini is quite competitive... :larf:

Each car has it's pros and cons.

Alfa GTAm - infinite grip, great turn-in, great center, great exit, very tossable and nimble, lowest top speed of the group
BMW 2002tii - loose as all hell, very drifty, decent braking, violent turn-in, reasonably good top speed
BMW 2800CS - highest top speed of the group, fantastic grip, most "modern handling" of the cars, gentle understeer, but quite heavy and loses on mid-corner speed and braking
Ferrari Dino LM - second-highest top speed, great turn-in, great brakes, sometimes snap-oversteers, a bit understeery on corner exit
Porsche 911 ST 2.4 - best "all-around" car, much more predictable than most Porsches, braking on par with the Alfa, violent turn-in, great grip on corner exit, good top speed

Also remember that you can blow the engines from over reving so watch the downshifting and starts. Anytime your in the red, you are eating engine life until... boom.... and it'll be a long walk back to the pits :kickcan:

Good summary bk. We allowed these and some faster cars in a XGN league earlier this year, both the 2002 and Dino seemed to be quick if you worked on setup or could manage their strange characteristics. Alfa, BMW 2800 and 911 were exactly what you expect, well behaved at the limit with default setups, one more nimble, one with more grunt, one an all-rounder.

As for engine sound, got to love those high revving Italian OHC fours ...

Hard one to answer to be honest.
From my own testing there is no one car that stands out overall with the track selection.

Make a folder called 70stracks and put it in there.

eg. GameData\Locations\70stracks\75Kyalami
