I'm in to give another ass whipping to the Aussies.
Let me Know if you want me to get a hold of George who ran the Aussie side of things.

Instead of these one off races we should see if they are interested in something like a 3 race series or something like that. Maybe CarnaGe has hit it on the head as well as I know the majority of them are road racers converted to ovals.
Maybe we run a 3 race series over 3 weeks?
Week 1. 10 from each team race TPTCC or the new GTP on a road course, say a 30 minute race. Then the other 10 from each team race each other on the same track. Points are then added from both races to get the country totals.
Week 2. 40 car oval race, probably in cars but trucks are fine, although no plate tracks in the cars are awesome. Maybe Thunder Bay would sort the men from the boys. I guess a 55% race would be great.
Week 3. 2 x 15% 40 car stockcar rules oval race at something like North Carolina, everyone seemed to enjoy that track. Points the same as we ran for the stockcar league.
As I remember we ran the Aus v NZ races on a Saturday last time round which may be an issue for 3 weeks of it so we might have to consider running on a week night and because they are a couple of hours behind us we might have to hack some late nights. Either way I would be keen to be in but I just see a series as much more fun and a good reason to get some sponsors involved and get a web site up and attract a bit of media attention for it?????

Would be keen to do some sponsorship for this and also run any news on http://www.sportsweb.co.nz. I can also send out releases to my media lists, mainly motorsport related but they will get the word around. I will also ask a very good journo mate of mine to put together the right words for release.

I would say keep things simple and just do the one race to start with and if that goes well, maybe do something else.
I'd suggest daytona as it's fast enough for good drafting, but not too big that you would get left on your own. Also. the slower speeds (as opposed to Talladega) would mean less dings because of lag.

What Happy said. If that goes well, then we organise something. If they "Tard out" like they did last time....... I definatly dont want to bother with any road course stuff with them.
I say we aim for the end of the current season. That gives us plenty of time.
Fly did a great job last time of liasing with George and he seems to understand the barking ( ).
Rodgers.......... Stay away from their forum
