GTL League Race 3 - should we on valentines day?

Although I've been given dispensation from SWMBO (ie 'take me out on Saturday') how many aren't going to be racing because of Valentine's day?

I'd hate to waste a late pass :-)

I think it would be "safer" for me to race another day of the week, than to skip Valentine's.

Mandy's pregnancy means all such days & decisions are more highly charged with emotion/expectations ... well, more than normal at any rate.

Thursday or Friday works. Maybe we need a poll...

Perhaps rather than change the day, we just put the league off for one week. As some people will not be able to make a Monday race, and Thurs is GPL69, Wed is NASCAR.. Friday most people that have a life might be going out etc.

Ok just got back from PZ lan. (so iam slow to read posts) Not worth running the race if no one turns up on tuesday, so lets hold off and start race 3 next week. (this way people can get some ?????? on tuesday night)

We could have a practice run and a couple of fun races if enough turn up. Same scenario as the league just not for league points.

What I don't understand about Valentines day is why is it that the males are expected to do something special for the females?

I think as a sign of their love for their man they should cook him a special dinner while he reads the paper and watches the news etc, then after running and getting him another beer should rub his feet and give him a nice back massage then piggy back him to the computer desk/room (being careful not to spill his beer) and make sure he is completely unintterupted whilst he races, except to rush off and get him another cold beer when he snaps his fingers between gear changes.

On the other hand the man should take home some chocolates to share with the missus, then if he is not too tired after the racing should poke her in the back and wake her up when he goes to bed and tell her that the nightie she is wearing makes her bum look really big so she should take it off.......
