sure looks that was BK
Undecided on what to drive
Toyota sounds awesome and puts it's power down reasonably nicely + easily <20l / lap
Capri doesn't sound awesome, similar speed to the Toyota more mid corner turn and exit oversteer + easily <20l / lap
935 sounds awesome, good power down grip and reasonably stable, narrow power band - <20l / lap can achieved but you need to short shit which conflicts with the 4 speed.
M1 good straight line pace and a pointy chassis can be a bit twitchy - 20l/lap reasonably easy with short shifting.
BMW 320 feels like a toy compared to big HP cars + easily <20l /lap pushing it for <25l/lap but just too slow in a straight line
Lancia didn't bother
Thinking M1 since theres a bunch of 935's and celica's but then might have closer racing with the Capri

Going to run a practice night tonight... do a few 5 lap races if people are interested, starting around 9pm.
Getting these cars off the line quickly takes a bit of practice

Good to see a few drivers last night.
Noticed that times are pretty close across everyone. Hopefully you can get your card sorted Danman as it was fun trying to keep up with the Porsche down the back straights

Yeah I had weird graphics glitching/tearing last night - never had that before. My current gaming box is running XP with a GTX560TI - about the third video card upgrade but the computer is probably 5 years old now, so time for an upgrade
I have been looking at building a new computer, but I already have a newer machine sitting here (about 2 years old - i7 sandybridge 3600k?/ 6870 video card) so I'll just start using that I think. It gets about 50% better frames at Le Mans, which must be due to the CPU as the video cards look to be similar in specs.
I jumped on the server again last night on the other computer, so now I'm listed on live racers twice
I'm thinking of putting either a 7950 boost or 7970/ GTX760 card into it rather than build a completely new box - any recommendations on video card? I'm guessing the Radeon cards are better for multi monitor use? I'm currently running single screens, or 2 screens cloned so I can run a projector for simming (picked up a 1600X1080 projector off trademe). It's not as sharp as a monitor but it's great having a 120" screen I'm also tempted by cheap-ish 40" FHD LCD TV's at JB hi fi - $488

Re: 2013 KSR Enduro 2hr Event - DRM at Le Mans
ok, only a few days till the start of the endruo... hope everyone has / will sign up by race night.
Please remember that race start is 8.30pm and not 9pm. This allows for a 10.30 finish, or close to.
Also race starts are going to be a bit different as these cars are not easy to get of the line quickly, and we will not be restarting due to anyone spinning it up and hitting the wall off the line.
A reminder to Pits to select 1st gear before the lights turn green

All signed up, and looking to forward to first 2hr enduro!
Bugger I missed the last round in the Alfas...had reinstalled windows that day and nearly got everything working again when the power went out for a few hours and then couldn't get online when it came back on. Congrats on the win there BK
And last Tuesday was just about to jump on but then got a problem with the desktop disappearing!
Got that sorted now so fingers crossed for tomorrow.
Go on RGV, it's a big ole track so the more merrier!

IT'S RACE DAY!
Good to see the numbers increased...
Hope you're got your lights assigned as you'll need them for about 8 of the 31 laps.
See you all on the grid when the green flag falls at 8.30pm...

Thanks guys...was a great race. I had a few spins etc, but kept the car off the wall and in one piece.
Apologies to Sully for the tap trying to pass.
Good racing with Gordon and Vladimir. Gordon should have got third...damn fuel strategies!
Congrats to Ggav for the win, and Riven for keeping him honest.
When is the next one...?

That was great fun guys, thank you very much!
I really noticed the lack of practice, match fitness as well as a lack of focus and concentration in and out over the 2 hour period!!
My first enduro, what a great experience and a great bunch of guys.
Hope to be back a bit more regularly in the next month or so..Especially gutted at the new prosche series, I love those cars!
Cheers.

Thanks to Rifty and BK for running the enduro
Didn't help that I forgot to change tires and had to do 3 stints on 1 very sad set of tires by the end.
Well done Gav, Riven and.......Growler
Wasn't sure if pitting 1 lap early was going to work.......looked like a great strategy until the last lap...and had to pit for fuel....Growler wrote:Good racing with Gordon and Vladimir. Gordon should have got third...damn fuel strategies!

Well done to everyone last night. Congrats to Ggaav, Riven and Growler.
Enjoyed the racing and managed to get through a night race without losing too much time per lap.
Had a few moments with offs / walls / spins, but all in all it was fun.
Good to see Pits and Growler joining us too. Thanks guys

Someone flick me the results file and I'll upload it
Weldone those who finished. Gav, Riven and Growler for the top 3 spots
Sadly my night came to an end sooner than I planned
My own fault for not shutting off steam, seems it was updating a game in the background, which could have explained the stuttering (which I thought might have been fraps while in game) and the sudden disco.
Keen to do it again though, great track. Really suits the mod
