Pretty sure the points on the left include the bonus points for finishing.

Re: NEW SERIES - NZrFL:26 - Porsche Flat-6 World Tour
Next round is Vallelunga on the 26th, and after that we have another Enduro at Sebring.(Maybe?)
What I would like is the people racing to post here if they want Sebring to stay as an 80min enduro round, or would you all prefer it to be split into the usual 2 x 35min sprints?
Hugh has raised the point and believes we should change it to 2 x 35min sprints.
Pros and cons either way though.
Short races need you to go balls out and basically do a hot lap every single lap. Some like this. Plus you get plenty of action with 2 race starts and a second crack if the first race goes wrong.
However an Enduro you can settle to a good pace and just keep chipping away, looking at the bigger picture and using stratergy with consistent pace to get a good result. Downside is if you have an off, it can mean a lonely race, or you're out for the night.
Let us know asap eh, cheers guys Either format is fine.

Re: NEW SERIES - NZrFL:26 - Porsche Flat-6 World Tour
Some tracks lend themselves to longer racers while others don't.
Bathurst works better as an enduro but Esstington wouldn't. I knew the score on having an accident early on and that's part of the event.
Sebring works well as an enduro but it can be a lonely track with no one around to play with. Based on driver numbers only, I would vote for 2 races here, but would prefer one.

As much as I like enduro's, with small grid's I think sprint races will be better

While on the subject of VLM Sebring, can the drivers load 11 cars in race weekend(as it loads more objects) and go to race and test. its a well known fact this track has poor frame rates. I think some of you will find this track will cause problems.

It's rather odd. My system is nothing compared to what you run Hugh, yet it's smooth as silk for me with 20 cars. (19 AI and myself at the back of the grid)
If people are going to have issues, well swap it out for something else.
Only takes 5 mins chaps, so can we have a reply back as soon as possible.
Also we'll run the night as 2 x sprints. Fair call on that

FWIW I used that 4gb Ram patcher, and I have +fullproc at the end of my shortcut. Dunno how much difference that makes, but worth a true if it's not already, Hugh.

Tested - works ok. Might have to wind a couple of graphics options off of full just to ensure I can stay in good fps.

Seems I've fixed the issue here, after many trials and changes, from defrag to drivers, reset bios to default and then made my bios changes seems to have worked, time will tell..

Yeah I would like to do another enduro but definitely think 2 x sprint races is a better option with our current numbers

Hey guys,
You're more than welcome to join in
Jump on early Tuesday (tomorrow) night and get in some laps before the official race start. I won't be on till close to race start, but a race admin should be on from 8:15ish. Just so we can see that you can actually lap without coming off everywhere. if it's all good you're welcome to race.
Just a precaution
if you're going to join in, you will need to sign up on the points site.
instructions here http://www.kiwisimracing.net.nz/forum/v ... 50&t=16307
I see Steve is already on to it
You'll also need to be on Teamspeak, even if you don't have a mic.

Re: NEW SERIES - NZrFL:26 - Porsche Flat-6 World Tour
We were planning on a special surprise for the final 7th round of the league, however due to time constraints this might not happen.
Either way there will be a 7th round, we'll just find another track.

Congrats to Hugh, Gordon and Rifty well done.
Great series and good tracks. Good to be back racing, I sense I am improving slowly. Appreciate the help I have been given.
Most importantly, thanks to those who crashed or DNF'd at Bathurst. I'm still going to count that as a mid pack finish

Well done to Hugh, Gordon and Rifty for the top three positions. Also to Vlad for being one of three winners.
A big thank you to all those involved in organizing the league. Cheers also to all the drivers competing.
I had an absolute blast, and you guys have all been incredibly welcoming and helpful to us new guys. It really is an amazing community here, and one that I look forward to being part of for the future.
